If the trailer is anything to go by, I think it's safe to say it's a Trial. 8 players, location is only found in a dungeon (Bardam's Mettle first boss arena I believe), boss cutscene fade-away...

If they have an extreme version, it needs to be interrupted by a Bazelguese halfway through for that authentic high rank Monster Hunter experience.
