So today I purchased a stack of 99 Ink Blue Dyes. To be perfectly honest, I forgot to check the stack price this time. My gil took a pretty big hit. But, not one to fret over silly mistakes, I did what any vindictive adventurer would do- I broke apart the blue dye into stacks of 10 (minus what I used) and listed each stack for 300 gil under the going rate. I will take a hit, but if I get most of it back, I'll be happy enough. I'm hoping that the smaller stacks at the lower price will help them sell quickly.

I hate buying large stacks when I only need 1. Who needs 99 dye buckets? Typically, it's always the lowest price that has the largest stacks. So, I will always split my wares into small stacks and undercut by several hundred any time I buy way more than I need. I will always help the next person buy only what they need.

Yeah, who in the right mind - *casually dumps 107 pots of Soot Black dye out of backpack* - would need 99 dye buckets - *lowkey kicks them under a conveniently nearby rug* - anyway? A weirdo hoarder, that's who.

Yeah, it is, I buy it quite often. No reason to buy it from the marketplace unless someone is selling it for even lower for some reason.

Once there were very few electrum ores up for sale on my server for 400 gil each, so i bought everything from the market and listed them myself for 900 gil each.

People bought them, i made an easy 2m that day.

And I guess as a "Marketboard Confession" I will say that I have made a tidy profit off buying the newest housing items from the vendors in the housing wards and listing them at a slightly higher price on the MB.

Underhanded? Why yes it is, but if you don't do your research first to see how to obtain the item you want who am I to complain? (I do feel slightly bad, but come on, at least check the vendors first!)

You can honestly split larger stacks and sell them at a similar or higher price and still get it sold quickly. It’s the difference between being made to pay 80k for a single dye, or getting it for 1.5k. But I get the sentiment. It’s so annoying to need a specific color and only thing on the mb is a full stack.

When I first bought my apartment, I didn't realise vendors sold furniture, so I bought two of those fancy fans for 50k each (among other things)... only to discover they were 5k at a vendor immediately after. I then turned around and did the same to get my money back five fold. >>;
When I bought my house, I did the foolish mistake of not checking the housing merchant, assuming my vendor had everything. Bought 3 toro lamps for 50k. Found them cheap at the outdoor vendor again.


It seems I never learn my lesson. :|

This 100 times over, made like 700k off those crafting vests the other week that u can buy for 11k at the vendor. Me and this other person were just running back and forth between the vendor and retainer bell. People seriously need to Google things first.
