We have high education fees too, but we also have higher living costs, pay more money for our rent, way more taxes, etc.
And don't even start about wages, they are pretty low for many people.
W are not more "rich" than people in America, so I don't think it's fair to bill us an extra $4.

That's what they said in 2008 too..to argue with the stability of a currency is not making any sense here.

How could my original post possibly start a flame war regarding European and American living standards? All I'm saying is that if they're going to charge us a higher fee, they could be nice about it and give us something for it.

{Um...} it's the current EUR to USD conversion rate, perhaps you should re-read the OP.

The difference is essentially the equivalent of one single-player game per year, especially since the difference is potentially even bigger when 2.0 is released and the discount is removed for all regions.

They do it because of the VAT. There is no room to adjust. Otherwise the same would apply to US as well.

Everything they could give us has its' own value. They might as well lower the fee accordingly if it came down to that, since there really is little difference.

Because some people seem to think "Oh, they are from Europe, so they are all rich and it's fine for them to pay more money to get the same content." which is not true.
I decided to play this game with the full price of 13€ in mind, and I was willing and able to pay that.
I'm happy it's even less now
But I thought everyone would have to pay the same and I don't see any reason why I am supposed to pay more than someone else just because he is not living in the same country as I am.
