Do You Want Revisions or a New Game?

I'm in the 'fix old problems first, and once the foundation is solid start brigning new content' crowd.

One question I have is, is it worth it for them to fix old problems? If they invest a lot of money into rewriting their server code, is that going to attract enough new users to justify that cost? I suspect the answer is no, and that's why they haven't done it.
