Natural iLev increases will also destroy the point of the fights. I've been running the BCoB that used to be one of the endgame hardcore raids. Two expansions later, even synced down, its a cakewalk.
BCoB was the Alexander/Delta/Sigmascape to ARR.
Unending is there to be a pure challenge and finish for bragging rights, not progression in terms of gear. (Which are inherently easier to finish than the Ultimate fights, which exist... literally only to be a tough challenge of a fight).
If they made it unsyncable, the entire point of the content's existence is lost.

Yeah, it is called Ultima's bane.
I think we should just make the entire game ez mode and hand all our money over to SE

They stated that Ultimate fights won't become Unsync-able. If they change their mind...who knows?
Ultimate fights sync iLvl as well. UCoB is iLvl sync'd to 345.
Basically, these fights are meant to persist indefinitely as the most difficult to complete content in the game.
They are not meant for everyone.
I highlighted the part you missed.BCoB was the Alexander/Delta/Sigmascape to ARR.

I sincerely hope not. Ultimate exists purely as a challenge, and while those who clear before 5.0 won't lose that sense of accomplishment, it does cheapen Ultimate somewhat if come 5.4, everyone can push through it. Granted, the sheer mechanical vomit will likely prevent people from clearing even with ten full levels above them.At some point in the future, no doubt when the next expansion comes, both Ultimate Bahamut and Refrain will probably have an option to unsync and considering some lvl 70 players still have issues with Sephirot and Nidhogg mechs, the ultimates shouldn't lose too much difficulty at all.
Cmon, let the dedicated raiders have their one thing. Might motivate people to improve and raid to experience those fights themselves.
I actually love this content as it is and I hope it's never accessible to casuals, including myself.
Watching people do these, I've kinda wanted to give it a try.
The savage content has been made easy for us, the extreme trials too, so what do the hardcore raiders get? They get fights built off of content that we have already gotten.
Let them have their one thing.
They're a cakewalk because people complained, they were nerfed into the ground. They were not as easy as they are not on release, even with gear.

As well even unsynced certain fights still need mechanics to be done even if they are easier now. Getting hit by a twister in T5 for example is still a one-hit kill.
