Patch 4.3 Dungeon unhappiness

I can almost vibe the the principle of this complaint... But if you're far enough to be doing expert roulette, that means you've done the MSQ, which means you're most likely done with the current MSQ content for this patch, and have done MSQ content for all three level tiers (50,60,70). So that means you've beaten Ultima, Nidhogg, Shinryu, and our current MSQ trial, just to name a few. And Byakko is no harder than any of those fights.

This is not elitists asking you to suck it up and git gud, it's peers asking why everything else was alright but Byakko is suddenly asking too much when all story or side story related content below extreme are relatively the same difficulty?

I get the lack of choice can be annoying, but Byakko is no huge hurdle either, I could understand if they were asking you to finish extreme, but they aren't. Byakko NM is very easily doable and you only have to do it once.

In ARR it happened, in 2.5 if you didn't do advance your msq enough to unlock keeper of the lake you couldn't do expert, to unlock keeper of the lake you had to do garuda hm, ifrit hm, titan hm, mog hm, levi hm, ramuh hm, shiva hm. In 3.0 you couldn't unlock expert dungeons even if you hit 60 if you didn't advance the MSQ, which required ravana hm and bismarck hm, you also had to do thordan before you could unlock antitower, and nidhogg normal mode before you could unlock xelphatol and baelsar's wall. Now in SB launch you couldnt do expert dungeons unless you did susano, lakshmi and shinryu normal mode.

There's little difference between 8 man story content and 4 man story content, so I don't know why you're playing the disability card.

I would much rather Square Enix had the freedom to put a 4-man dungeon in a non-MSQ questline than arbitrarily say they cannot to allow people to avoid a small subset of 8-man trials, while still having to complete the majority of those trials. Sorry.

I never touched the original three HM or EX primals until the MSQ HM Titan had me. I may have UNLOCKED them but I never completed them until 3.3-3.5 when my fc ran them unsynced. So all that KoL required was the proper minimum ilvl and completed the MSQ up to that point.

So you are basically saying there little difference between those with no disabilities and people with BOTH physical and mental disabilities. Forgive me if I ignore your offensive and ignorant self in the future.

I have lag issues and anxiety but I still press on and do every dungeon and every normal/hm trial. I do draw the line at Ex primals and Savage content. Doing things like this breaks me out of my comfort zone and gives me a bit of a confidence boost when I overcome the instance. Moral of the story we are all different. At this point I kind of expect things to get locked behind primals so I just sigh and pluck along until I beat them.

This still required you to complete Ravana HM, Bismark HM, and Thordan HM in order to unlock them as they were apart of the Heavensward MSQ Completion. Byakko NM is no harder than those fights.

If you can do the subsequent dungeons without just being a constant corpse during every pull/boss, you can do the story trial required to unlock them.

If you can't do the above...maybe it's better for three other people's sake that you don't unlock them? :P

You beat Shinryu NM to complete the story, one of the hardest NM fights in the game, you can most certainly do this. Please don't use your disability as a scapegoat, this game is very accessible and there are many things that you can do to overcome this situation without coming onto the forums and complaining to the developers. Right now you are on the level of the people who asked for sharkfin soup, the sea of clouds thistles and the rising minigame to be removed.

If there weren't any 8-man trials in the MSQ, I'd agree. Since there are, however, complaining about the fact that other optional content is locked behind new ones is just splitting hairs - "they're making us do 5 this time and not 4". And while I'm sure this isn't something you agree with, the fact remains that "we want content that takes longer" and "for the love of god please shake up your predictable patterns" are two of the biggest requests/complaints from players. Putting a dungeon behind a trial & not just at the end of a two-quest unlock chain accomplishes both of these things.
