You're kidding, right? Your name is literally right underneath your forum profile. And anytime you happen to do anything with other players, somebody may just happen to look you on whatever character you might be on to see what to expect out of you. I highly doubt anybody in this thread, let alone the forums, is actually going to bother you in-game. A simple disagreement is not going to lead other people to suddenly start harassing you. This isn't reddit or a toxic fansite of a Blizzard game - the community is better than that. If somebody does happen to pull that crap, report and blacklist. But a simple disagreement is not going to lead to harassment over your numbers.
Realized my post didn't make sense at first, I meant gameplay wise of how good I'am currently. I appreciate your viewpoint, but now I gotta consider avoiding this forum now.
I mean, to be fair your name and world are displayed next to all your posts along with a current picture of your character. You had zero anonymity before posting in this thread. If it makes you feel better I can go pull a bad log of mine and link it, everyone has bad days. You all may say that but now I'm completely opened up to get screwed around with now. I get there is people here that are willing to help eachother out but more often than not I've seen that tool get used for abusive purposes rather than the opposite. Now I need to decide whether not to post here anymore in fear of getting messed around with in-game because some people are now aware who I'am.
It's not right, I wouldn't even do that to anyone online.
Also if it's any consolation I am someone with consistantly inflamatory opinions (healers should dps, parsers are more good than bad by a landslide, everyone should learn about their class to not be a burden to their party, savage needs a better gatekeeper) and the closest to anyone "harrassing" me ingame that I've seen is a cohealer in Rab recognized me and proceeded to say they were a "no dps healer" but that was a joke because they did amazing.
So no, I don't think you have anything to worry about and if someone does say something to you that's inappropriate by all means report them. I just think it's dangerous to conflate citing statistics with a reportable offense.
So you think anyone making certain claims about skill level in a video game is immune to criticism?
Awesome, I am now as good of a WHM as Sebazy, let me put that in my signature
I dunno, this seems sorta silly to me. I won't postpone rational thought and my understanding of how the world works for someome else's comfort.
Except you don't. Anyone could have looked that up at any time, this thread changes literally nothing.
If it makes you really uncomfortable you can actually go to fflogs and there is a way to claim your character and after you do so you have the option to hide all logs associated with them. I'm not well versed in it, I play on ps4 and can't parse, but I don't think it's very involved.

Yes I'm currently posting now, but not for long after my session on here.
That's cool buddy, you make your own decisions, but don't try to act like some kind of martyr - you aren't. You've been given support and info about how you can prevent anyone from being able to see your dps. Whether you take it is on you.
Sort of... while a person can hide their logs, if you know they party with another person a lot and they happen to upload their logs, then you just look on that persons logs and then be able to see the others. If it makes you really uncomfortable you can actually go to fflogs and there is a way to claim your character and after you do so you have the option to hide all logs associated with them. It sounds stalker as hell and I only found this out when I was looking up a friends log (just to see what their DPS was. My super casual static is just barely beating the Ultima Upsurge enrage) and know that the person they're grouped with has their stuff set to hidden.
Brr putting words in my mouth. So you think anyone making certain claims about skill level in a video game is immune to criticism?

Wow ! How did you make this stuff up ? Totally unrelated from my reply. You just take the game way too serious for your own good and it's kinda sad to see. Hopefully you are a nicer person ingame.

Fair enough. Still probably a lot more effort than anyone is putting in to look up this guy's logs.Sort of... while a person can hide their logs, if you know they party with another person a lot and they happen to upload their logs, then you just look on that persons logs and then be able to see the others.

Also his logs are pretty sparse, I don't think anyone is regularly uploading them so I think he'd be pretty okay with just hiding his character.
Better than noises? Brrr
That is correct, yes
Nice stealth edit. If you don't want people to misunderstand you maybe try posting cohearently.
Nope, I am the same person everywhere. If you don't like me the Ignore List button is around here somewhere. Doesn't hurt my feelings, have a nice day.
Personally I find your posts kind of sad, maybe we can be blacklist buddies.

Yeah, was just that one instance. Did see their MNK was doing way more than I was (I'm humble blue, they're ultra orange). Granted I'm doing 5.2k, but I know I can do better (while it's just Demon Chad Savage, getting 6.3k made me so happy).
