For the Rumination rotations, with sufficient Craftsmanship you can replace the 3rd Piece by Piece with Observe+Focused Synthesis and still finish the synth. This allows you to switch Steady Hand II and Innovation around to account for a bad Excellent proc.

This will work only if the Innov is sitting right before the Miracle, right? So you mean replacing Innov with Trick in a macro AFTER switching SH2 and Innovation around as suggested by Espritduo above.
