Listen. If you want to tank the dungeon, que as a tank. If you want to control the pace of the dungeon, que as a tank. If you don't like taking, don't complain (or just communicate). It's that simple.

Oh, I read your post, multiple times in fact before replying. Being a sprout at that point means that your tank had logged fewer than 168 hours of game time. That means he almost certainly used both story-skip potions. It also likely means he used a jump potion for his job. I don't like these potions, particularly the Jump potion, but they exist. Their use also does not change the fact that your tank was a new player. If he has multiple jobs at 70, this run of Hell's Lid might have been his first as tank. So why does him not having a bonus even matter? Even if his only 70 was the tank, It may still only have been his second or third time in that dungeon, and not everyone learns stuff at the same pace, meaning that he still might not have been comfortable tanking Hell's Lid.

Unless you're still not telling us the whole story, here's my take on this story: You went into expert roulette and got Hell's Lid with a sprout tank, and proceeded to treat him like absolute trash. Don't expect any sympathy from me...or many others around here for that matter.

So this happened on Sunday night before the emergency maintenance like about maybe 30mins or a hour before it started.

We got the message in the dungeon that maint. was starting in like 25 or so mins.

Which was it? "30 minutes or an hour" before maintenance or "25 minutes or so" to maintenance? Either way it doesn't really matter because even with a slow pulling tank 25 minutes is more than enough time to clear that dungeon.

You were being a turdbucket based on the description of your story and still are. And like someone else said, I wouldn't be surprised you've been called worse. Your attitude on display is malodorous as best.

You give no indication in your original post that any communication was attempted with the tank who you knew to be either new or inexperienced, or both. You say you have no sympathy for jump potion users, and that further speaks to the downfalls of your characters. Entitled, self-centered, egotist. All gloriously on display here. An inability to see that you have to work as a team, while also demanding that the tank work as a team, but only in a way that benefits you.

You give no evidence to support your sudden claims that the tank went in to purposefully make your run long. I know there are trolls (I'm pretty sure I'm directing this comment to one right now) whose sole purpose is to make the game difficult for others, but it's been my experience that they are few and far between in 4-man dungeons/trials. "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity." Or in this case, don't assume the tank was set out to make your life difficult when it's just as likely they weren't a skilled or experienced tank. I, personally, have been in Hell's Lid countless times as DPS and Healer but I've never tanked it. I have paladin at 70 but I am inexperienced with it so I very likely could have been in the same shoes as your tank. No newbie bonus, but a newbie regardless. Only for me, I either would have attempted to vote kick you or I would have simply given you a taste of your own medicine and shirked you every single chance I got and if the tank in your story actually did legitimately try to get you killed, good for them. You deserved it for being a turdbucket.

It's a shame you can't see past the end of your own nose. It's people like you who, as someone else said, make it unattractive to tank and I know it's because of people like you that I very rarely tank for randoms.

The only one being an "entitled snowflake" in your story is you, for throwing a fit that things didn't go exactly as you wanted them to while playing with other people.

You made the entire thing about yourself: I want to go fast, I don't want count downs, I want him to pull more, I want to do more stuff before maintenance, I want, I want, I want.

You're the one that needs to consider those words "team player" and realize you seriously lack those skills.

Finally, in the wise words of someone else: If you wanted to move quickly through the dungeon, you should've played tank

Your actions are indefensible. The best thing for you to do is acknowedge you were disrespectful (to say the least, please know I would use much more colorful words to describe you if the forum allowed it) and not repeat the same mistakes going forward.

The irony is you're one of the first people to talk about how optimization is bad and call people elitists for trying to improve/expecting basic gameplay from their parties but you couldn't even accept a tank not moving fast enough for you. Pathetic.

Why queue as a dps if you want to get 2 dungeons done in the space of an hour (or 30minutes) before maintenance?
Just curious choice of class to play when time is of the essence. That's all I have to say on it, it's a glaring question I just had to ask as I didn't see it anywhere.
