Your post mentioned you started the dungeon 30 minutes - an hour before maintenance. Even with slow groups, that's still well above enough time to clear a dungeon before maintenance, thus he might not have had any sense of urgency. I wouldn't in his situation either. You can make all the assumptions you want or shift blame, but it doesn't really matter. You took a hostile and instigating action first, to which he responded badly, and neither of you communicated.

Which as I said, communication could have solved eloquently and probably a TON faster than how it turned out, as BOTH you and the tank handled each other's actions poorly.

He was not new to the dungeon. He had a leaf, so probably a level booster, so he got no sympathy from me nor the rest of the party as he knew what he was doing.

At level 70, with tanking, if you aren't pulling at a reasonable pace and not using your cds properly, you should consider another job. At level 70, you should'nt be told to use cds, nor use your tank stance. This s*** should be common knowledge as a tank at a high level. Also considering that maint was gonna be soon and we wanted to hurry up and finish the roulette, he was intentionally slowing us down on purpose and trolling.

Also Bara, this is a public forum, so I can share w/e the heck I want to share as it is within the subject of this thread, so you have no right to tell me what I should or shouldn't post.

People acting the way you acted are why there are a shortage of tanks. People acting the way you do are the reason I won’t tank dungeons in anything other than a pre-made. Just because a person isn’t new to the dungeon doesn’t mean that they are comfortable with it—what if his first clear hadn’t been on a tank, but a DPS? There’s a lot less responsibility on DPS jobs in dungeons that tank or healer jobs. And really? Not being nice just because you suspected (yet cannot prove) that this person used a jump potion? While I agree that people who use jump potions should research how to play the jobs they jump, I don’t think that’s any reason to treat them so callously unless he did something worthy of that. Going a bit slow through a dungeon is not a good enough reason for you to be a jerk.

I don’t have patience for those who act the way you do, and I would have initiated a kick for you the second you pulled before the countdown finished—if the tank was indeed being petty by tanking the mobs “on top of” you, I really can’t say that I blame him all that much because you were being far from nice. It’s hard enough finding tanks that actually DO use countdowns (even if they aren’t a complete necessity for dungeons); I’m actually surprised when tanks do use them. You really should be absolutely ashamed of yourself.

Wow another guy who didn't read my post. Okay. First of all, because he was intentionally slowing us down, we did the majority of the run without him and guess what? We saved time, thus I had just enough time to do one more roulette (trial roulette (Ifrit! lucky me! Quick 5min fight!).

The two following you after the pull aren't agreeing with you. They are simply playing because someone pulled the boss lol... They either do that or wipe...

Actually, we chatted and we agreed that he was trolling us intentionally knowing we had to get the run done faster. We agreed and we all we fought on without the bad tank. They didn't have to follow me, and in fact they didn't follow me as we all went in without the tank.


The tank was an entitled snowflake and thought that just because he is the tank that means he has the power to slow down our run whenever he wants. He got a rude awakening. Tried to kill me near the end and he failed cause the healer was tired of the tank's bs and told him to stop wasting our time or we would kick him.



Be a team player, work with your team or you get kicked. He made it all about him and didn't work with the team.


He got the message at the final boss.

Except you outright said you made no effort whatsoever to communicate with him. Therefore, how can you know his intent without simply assuming it now to not come off as entitled?

The intent was obvious and if you can't figure it out after that then there might something wrong with you. We got the message in the dungeon that maint. was starting in like 25 or so mins. So knowing that we needed to hurry and get the run over with so we get w/e we needed done before the game kicked us off, the tank made it a habit to pull like a snail, he wastes time with a pointless countdown, we start without him and stands he out the arena intentionally cause we didn't have time for that. We pulls a big group of mobs before second boss, uses little to NO cool downs at all, and despite the healer trying to keep him up, he dies, thus we waste MORE time.
We get to second boss, he countdowns AGAIN and we had, had it at that point and we pulled without him. He again stands outside the arena. He tries to kill me with the last group of mobs(showing us how petty he is) in the place but healer at that point was pissed off at the tank and warned him that if he continued to screw around with us, knowing we needed to finish this run quick, that we were gonna kick him. He got the message at the final boss as he didn't countdown and instead went to the boss.


In conclusion, the intent was clear and you don't words to know when someone is trolling. I learned that in FFXI. My pty agreed with me on the tank's trolling and we worked together to get the run done faster without him. Did you catch all that? or do you need me to repeat slowly for you?

Somehow, I'm not surprised you've been "called worse" things, given your attitude. Whether the tank had their faults or not still doesn't excuse your own lack of decorum, and even if the remainder of the party did go along with it that only means that they too had their faults. Furthermore, your use of the term "snowflakes" certainly isn't bolstering your case by any means. That's all I have to say on the matter.

I clearly did read your post. You said that he would have been hurrying up because maintenance was about to start, and then say that you had time for an entire other run after that... Those two statements do not make sense together. After reading the past few pages, I really don't expect you to understand this simple reality...

You also clearly stated that you alone pulled that first boss. Now its everyone was going together?

Maybe you should read your own posts before crying that no one else is reading them? You can't even keep your story straight right now...
