Th patch notes say hairstyles are added, I'm hoping maybe it's just in a place we've not found yet. It would be really dumb for them to mention it in the patch notes when we won't have access to it for a month.

Only they haven't. They showed the short hair-style in the notes but not the other one, right? That one we found out about through data-mining. So there's no guarantee it's available this patch.

We may have found it via mining, but that doesn't change the fact the the patchnotes mention multiple. Meaning we should have access to it. They don't mention it in the notes usually if we're not supposed to find it.

It can be a translation thing. Japanese don't have plural for words without a specific number.
While we have "one" (singular) and "more than one" (plural), japanese have "one or more than one"
