FFXIV Boot Error - Unable to Complete Version Check [30605][504]

Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

The above poster is correct, the game is currently down for maintenance. This is why this error is appearing.

The Lodestone post link you shared comes up at "The page you are searching for has either been removed, or the designated URL address is incorrect." And at first the times were off on your forums, when I first looked at this forum post it said everything was Yesterday with the OP starting at 8:41 PM and yours was at 1:41 AM, now that I logged in to reply it has updated the times to show Today 7:38 AM and last post before mine at 12:41 PM. Just a bit of an oddity with that, might make it hard to find current info if the times aren't displaying correctly.

So to clarify could you give a date along with that 3 AM PST timer for the maintenance being done? It is currently 1:45 PM EST on 5/21/2018, are you meaning it'll be finished on 3 AM PST 5/22/2018?

Yes, that is when maintenance will end. The patch will be available for download sooner, though, so your error message should resolve when it becomes available (when that is varies). If it persists past the time the game goes live again, then you should have cause to worry about the error.

The maintenance is scheduled to end 3AM 5/22/2018 PST (That's what I meant by 3AM tomorrow).

The forums use Japan's time zone I believe, so the time of the post isn't exactly accurate to where you are on the east coast. Maintenance should end for you at 6AM 5/22.

I hope that cleared up some confusion.
