Mh that makes me think that zenos and his father aren't on the same agenda at all, I think Varis should order some armor plates on for his back
I thought it was made clear from the get go that they weren't on the same page. I don't think Zenos "hates" Varis, like he did his father, appatently. But each generation is showing more "tact" as it were. Varis "dislikes" eikons/primals but realises blindly going in only makes things worse for them. And Zenos doesn't appear to view non Garleans as "savages" per se. Fordola, Yotsuyu, and Grynwaht show this as he puts more faith in them than actual Garleans. He still treats them like crap occasionally and thinks them beneath him, but thats more about him than Garlemald.

I really wonder if that is truly Zenos or an Ascian. Because if its Elidibus then it would make even more sense to teach Asahi (or someone else) the way to summon primals.
Or if its Zenos maybe he does not like Asahi and wants to kill him while having a challenge. Thus he tells him how to summon a primal but because he does not have any kind of echo he wont make it back alive. And Zenos would have a foe that he could fight against. (And then we come and take his plan apart by killing it)
Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
Good point, though for now I'll say that it is him alright and not an ascian since the timing would be odd, that said I would say that Zenos likes no1 as I said in the past he just uses ppl bitterness and festers it so that they can spread chaos, what if asahi can make so that a primal is summoned during the prison swap and he blames the doman for it? Making it look like Doma has turned to summoning a primal during a peace conference, that would be a good pretext to wage war again on Doma especially as it would look like a betrayal.I really wonder if that is truly Zenos or an Ascian. Admittedly I'm running on conjectures here but we'll know tuesday
It is definitely an Ascian. I mean the Zenos we knew was just a blootdthirsty brute. Intricate plans like the one needed to summon Tsukuyumi are not his style. He even has a different voice and talks a lot like Elidibus. Besides, we have seen the true Zenos. He pulled a Sahagin preast and hijacked the Elezen dude. So we have Elidibus with Zenos' body, and the Elezen soldier with Zenos' soul. So can we have a Zenos VS Zenos fight?I really wonder if that is truly Zenos or an Ascian.
