Who really cares what it's called as long as it's less annoying than the market wards.

great thing about the current system theres no sell's history, when thats added if one guy sells that 1,000,000 lv20 item its gonna stay 1 mill. in the current system when theres none for sell you can set your price alot easier.Market Wards or Auction House, doesn't matter which we have. Most people will make things like a level 5 shield 100,000 gil...

We do... and we also (aside from you and maybe 2-3 others) understand each other even when we call it an Auction House.Again, within the game, they can call it whatever they want. I just expect players talking outside the game to realize that what SE calls it isn't necessarily what it actually is, especially if the players are going to try to use it to argue a point outside the game they're referencing.
Ah, but you're the one saying that an indefinitely lasting auction is possible, and using XI as evidence thereof. Notwithstanding that the system used in XI is not an auction system, and therefor an indefinite extension of XI's "auctions" would not, in fact, constitute an indefinitely extended auction. Your claim of understanding seems unsubstantiated. . .

Again, obviously I'm talking about an Auction House in the context of FFXI's Auction House, which as I stated in my last post... only you seem to not be grasping. This isn't difficult.
It isn't as if I haven't already explained this 3 times already either so don't even try to go there.
Okay, show me an indefinitely extended auction and how it would function. You've yet to do this. Again, indefinitely extending XI's system wouldn't count, because those aren't auctions. Remember, you did say that indefinitely extended auctions could work. . .Again, obviously I'm talking about an Auction House in the context of FFXI's Auction House, which as I stated in my last post... only you seem to not be grasping. I never once said they would work outside of the context of FFXI's Auction House system, that's what you are still somehow not getting.

Yes, I don't know why you're acting like I ever said anything different when I've been sitting here trying to tell you that's what I've been saying. I never once called FFXI's AH a true auction house, simply an Auction House because that's... what the term for it is.
As I said, get pissy with Square-Enix... I'm just calling it by its name.

^ That's exactly why I don't want a system anything at all like FFXI's. The system may have had merit back in the day but it's been a long time since. Time to move on to a better system. We're moving toward a better system. Market Wards have their flaws and limitations but they're slowly being corrected.I played xi for many years, plz.
You could NOT sell an incomplete stack, you could NoT buy an incomplete stack.
You Payed time and time again a fee to post each item, sold or unsold
You had all unsold going to your mog, so to repost you had to go in your house, then back to the auction house.
You had 8 selling spots
You could NOT see the items price, you had to guess and hope you either got it, or didn't over pay.
You had dicks eraseing history
You had pricks peen posting also messing up history
6 mo ago, I'd agree with you.....
But no. Not today.
