at the very least we know its a two hander Gunblade (show as they put away their weapon on their back like Mch and Drk), and as far as I recall Gaius, Regula and Nero are the only ones who have wielded Long Gunblades, as oppose to others like Cid, Fordola, and Enemy cannon fodder who wield a one hander variants (shown as they put their weapon away at the hips and use clearly Gld/PLD animations)

As a reminder, they did say they will not be showing the Trial in the Trailer. So everything we have seen is either a dungeon boss, raid boss, MSQ fight, side-content boss and Eureka NM.

While it's true they said this, I do have some doubt:


There definitely appears to be 3 adventurers there; the Warrior of Light in the myochin/samurai artifact gear and two other adventurers in their respective mendacity sets (another samurai and a machinist). It definitely feels like this might be part of the trial, as I can't come up for a good excuse for the machinist with the gauss barrel.

I don't think that it's been mentioned in here so far, but as a bit of trivia: Asahi's name can be translated as morning sun, and Yotsuyu as evening dew, which might be further hints towards the moon god Tsukiyomi or/and the sun goddess Amaterasu. Buuut I think that these are just the "lost in translation" meanings of the 4.2 and now 4.3 patch titles. (So Asahi being the sun in 'Rise of a new Sun' ect)

I'm personally more leaning towards Kaguya-hime, from the tale of the bamboo cutter, as that also fits the moon theme. Also those 5 drops on the moon reflection the trailer might be a reference to her 5 impossible tasks in the tale

Yeah, I read that part of the trailer as them exhuming Zeno's grave to confirm whether or not the corpse was still there. Which means we'll be jumping back around to Gyr Abania for a bit, it seems.

Mh it's possible, though it feels odd having this scene during a doma story arc, maybe we see Zenos at the end of the Doma story and we go to his tomb to check on him, but if I recall it correctly they already told us the tomb was found empty. I think moose told me

And the turret, on closer inspection... but it's not showing enough of the fight to be a spoiler, so likely just an add phase.

Oh well boo... but then he could be the final phase of the Ultimate fight, with the gun-fist and gun-shield guys as well maybe (they really deserve a proper fight)?
