Mod users in FFXIV are getting out of control

I don’t get it. Aren’t mods only client side? If you were nude to someone, there would be no way for you to know besides if they told you. If they’re secretly perving on you, chances are they won’t be telling you. If this post is raising concern about how someone could hypothetically be seeing your character nude, then that’s some severe paranoia. I’d understand the concern if someone random creep was sending tells saying, “I can see ur boobies teehee.” But if there’s no way to really prove that your character is naked on someone’s screen, then I just don’t see how you can worry about it.

Just to clarify my own opinion, I think going after the modding community as a whole is not the way to go about it. Most people are discreet and go about their business. I am however a bit disappointed with some of the replies in this thread that are trying to blame the OP as if they've brought this upon themself whilst seemingly giving those who may harass a free pass.

The fun fact is this doesn't have to mean you're even naked. Boob Psysics exist no matter what. And some people simply RP like that and get to people like that which is sad but still doesn't say anything at all about any kinds of stuff they use or not.

Oh well yeah, that’s definitely a problem and totally not cool.

But yeah, I agree with the sentiment that mods aren’t the problem here. In that screenshot, it’s the creepy dude behind the tell that’s the problem. I feel like it’s possible to have those kinds of mods and not be obnoxious about it. Like, a modder who stays silent will literally affect no one.
