    I don't run it anymore

I stopped running it after cutscene changes, even just the possibility of being locked in to it longer than what is typically necessary to clear was motivation enough for me to abandon it entirely.

And yes, I did used to run it almost daily just for the tomes because I'm an active hunter and gardener so I either use Poetics in Mor Dhona to buy Unidentifiable items to trade for soils in Idylshire OR I buy Mysterious maps in Mor Dhona to try to get a Mor Dhona map to attempt to spawn Agrippa with.

I have all jobs leveled so I always queue'd as whatever was listed as "in need" on the roulette, typically tank or healer. Though I prefer healer because my general observation was that PuG healers were often not aggressive enough and I felt like pushing healer dps and relying on HoTs and shields to mitigate most damage made the runs go faster. My ideal run for either would be somewhere around 20 minutes. It was a quick and easy thing I could queue for by myself to get some more Poetics while waiting for friends/family to log online.

Now, since that's no longer possible, I'd honestly rather just poke around zones and look for A Ranks rather than potentially get locked into a 30+ minute dungeon run for the same amount of Poetics. I'm not sure even doubling the poetics would be enough to entice me to participate in this roulette again with unskippable cutscenes, it'd have to err on the side of caution and be something like 500 poetics for the one roulette.

30 min run, "Sweet, easy 500 Poetics!"

50+ min run, "... well at least I'm getting 500 Poetics..."

Did SE do the right thing? I'm going to say this was ham-handed. This is the only way to ensure that players who want to watch the cutscenes get to watch the cutscenes. The only way the cutscenes should be skipped automatically is if all players have "skip previously viewed cutscenes" enabled. That's it.

If you're complaining about having to watch them, then stop doing MSQ roulette. It's not for you.
The person you're quoting is in Queue for Castrum directly, not MSQ roulette. Assuming they're trying to get it done for MSQ... they mention skipping as in "now the only way to get it done in a timely manner could potentially be to buy the story skip potion."
