Is there anything I could do to help me get better numbers?

At a quick glance there are 2 things you need to focus on that are costing you a bunch of dps. First you let dragon kick's blunt resist fall off frequently (you don't even put it up until 24 seconds into the fight), second you're over applying demolish and clipping the dot by half its duration frequently. I'd suggest you look at casts by a 60 or 70% mnk in event view side by side with your own to get an idea what you need to work on. Kaldea's comment on cpm is spot on too. Top tier mnks are hitting around 50 cpm, mid tier around 40-45, so you need to work on your uptime a fair bit.

1 more quick note. Tornado kick is one of those optimization tools you're probably better off leaving alone until you're hitting purples on fflogs. Under most circumstances it's a dps loss, especially on a fight that you should have virtually 100% uptime like o6s

cpm is casts per minute (how many skills you press per minute) if you go to the cast tab it shows your cpm

When I heal... I get annoyed when Paladins and Red Mages keep healing themselves when their health gets lowered to 70%. Stop wasting your GCDs and Dual Casts... I got this...

Same here!! Like, I've been in their shoes... They probably think they're doing the healer a favor by healing themselves, but as a healer it just looks like they don't trust your healing capabilities.

When I play my paladin I heal myself if 1. I drop low on a big pack, ~30% or 2. The healer is doing dps and I can let them have more cast in damage.

Something I’m finding as red mage is that there are situations with large groups of weak enemies where it’s very hard to get that first 2.5 second cast completed on any one target before it dies - but casting Cure gives me a more reliable target so I can then instant-cast an attack spell instead of feeling useless.

But yes, generally I’ve been wondering - at what point *is* curing allies considered helpful and not “stealing the healer’s job while neglecting DPS”? We’ve got the spell so we’re expected to use it, but when?

The healer was being cute, so i thought I'd be cute too. I'm a lala after all, the cutest thing in Eorzea, XD. Nobody said anything pretty much the entire run, but this is the first time i met someone made such a rude reply to a thank you for the run goodbye.
