Should FF14 take a new route? Discussion

I think that it NEEDS to take a new direction badly or risk losing subscribers. I'm already playing less because i'm just bored and have drifted to Battletech and FFXV for my attentions. I don't really care about Savage or Ultimate because lack of time to commit to a static. So that leaves me with Eureka which I did until I couldn't stand it anymore(5 full sets of armor and several relics) and that is about it for this last patch. Then of course there is the mobile app which is adding in a Freemium Currency and another subscription on top of the original subscription... to be nice about it i'm less than thrilled about the prospect of some whale sitting on a toilet or at work throwing money at it and dominating the market. Get enough whales and you're going to ruin the economy. So there goes my desire to craft or gather too. Plus the slippery slope of the whole thing. I can just imagine them putting the Mog Station in it as the next logical step and expanding the use of the Moogle Coins to purchase things in the Mog Station. Then after that comes the purchasable xp boosts and boosts to raise drop rates of gear from dungeons or trials, ect, ect. I just don't like where the game is at and where it is going. Can see myself just dropping my sub when 4.3 hits at the rate its going. *shrug*
