I got the Buso Guildhest one as a warrior, the one with all those hellhounds that you shouldn't kill until the boss dies. Well, from a combination of using overpower to grab all the hounds and TP draining AoE circles spawned by the add army everywhere, I started hitting zero on the TP gauge every few seconds. Now we didn't wipe or anything but I notice a large pack of adds chasing the healer and it takes a few seconds for me to position to grab them with overpower and to generate the TP to actually use it.

Afterwards I apologize in chat for not grabbing them sooner and added "Sorry ran out of TP". The healer replies "Well next time cross-class Flash".

Now I am a little out of it from dealing with a sinus infection all day, so correct me if I am wrong, but haven't cross-class skills not been a thing since Stormblood's launch almost a year ago and almost six full months since I joined the game in late December?

If you think you make a mistake you simply say "sorry for facepulling" But if you where on cnj, the tank was calling you a dps? am i confused or that just their mistake?

He called me a DPS because that was the highest job I had on that alt, a 60 DRG. He looked up my character info and thought...well, I'm not sure what he thought. He was in a lot of pain. If my highest job had been a tank, it would've made a little more sense, but...yeah, dude was in pain.

As for the pull itself, there was absolutely no question, it was not a facepull, or a buttpull, it was a mis-target by the Arcanist, I know because the Arcanist got hit and I had to heal them up, and again, the tank's in pain AND playing tired, so he just couldn't see it properly, but like...here's this angry dude with a migraine going off on a tear, the last thing I wanna do is point at the poor little sprout who still has their Carby punting mobs around with their knockback attack, and say "THAT GUY DID IT." And as for telling him I couldn't help him with his problem, I was still waiting to hear what the problem actually was at that point, because he didn't tell me until the last possible moment before we opened the treasure chest after Denn the Orcatoothed died. Frankly, I'm surprised I could type at all, my heart was pounding, my face was getting hot, and it wasn't until I was standing back in Limsa that I realized I'd been holding my breath. x_x I.....I don't handle stress well....

Like Lilseph said try not to let it effect you that much. I know it can be hard to do and I know it sucks when you get blamed for something that is not your fault but don't beat yourself up over it.

Got Bismark for trial roulette, and there was a RDM who was new to the duty. The WHM said to get on his back to do damage, and used rescue, but the RDM jumped off. I can see how that's annoying, but this was still an unnecessary reaction.

It's weird, but yes, you have to be the appropriate level for a role action outside of PotD to use it inside PotD. Had someone ask for a sc raise the other day when 2 cnjs were in the group (cnj=unlikely to have SC).

I think this is a side effect of the system being set up so we don't lose our equipped role skills when we're synched down to low levels in dungeons.

...sure enough, he doesn't have a tank stance on anymore.

Overall he wasn't playing well, but for this particular bit, perhaps he meant to turn it on (as you often have to at the start of an instance) without realising it was already on? And then spent the rest of the fight wondering why the off-tank was out-aggroing him....

Did the level 69 dungeon last night levelling my SAM. Level 70 DRK was in level 60 gear and then eventually "DC'd" when we called them out. A WAR quickly replaced them.



I think this DRK only used FATEs, Level 50/60 roulette and Alliance Roulette to level up :T

Okay, it's been a few days, I think I've calmed down enough to talk about it now.

You did nothing wrong here. If your group made it to the final pull before the boss without any issue, the tank should have just done his job and grabbed the extra agro. If there was an ongoing issue throughout the dungeon then mentioning it earlier(teaching opportunity!) is the better way to go(instead of waiting until the very end to explode on someone). And going off because things arent "done right" in Sastasha of all places is just asinine. No, we dont want new players learning bad habits and should try to teach when and where we can. We also dont want their first interaction with other players and the duty finder to be someone insulting and calling names over a small mistake. And thats before we even figure in how limited most classes tool kit is for that particular dungeon. Nah, that guy is just all wrong.

Nothing at all. As others have pointed out, unless theres an agreement in place before the loot drops over how it will be distributed then anyone who can use the need option has the right to if they choose. If you all agreed before the run that it would be only greed, or he could have the healer drops and then you broke the agreement youd have been wrong. Clearly that isnt what happened. If he's just mad that he didnt get to roll on the item for seals/desyn then he needs to get over it. And if he wanted the piece as an upgrade to an alternative class he could have asked for it(or you know, ran the place as a healer and just taken it). Even if he forgot to ask at the start of the run, he could see it drop and ask mid-dungeon(obviously holding his own roll). Even if youve already rolled need/greed you still have the option to turn your roll into a pass until the item is distributed. Something like "I forgot to ask at the start, do you mind if i get that belt? Im gearing up a healer and could use it". Certainly a better response then harassing you the rest of the dungeon.
