Honestly, Eureka does not resemble FFXI in any way. All they did was add lottery pop "NMs" which have turned into, if anything, resembling FATE grinding in 2.0. Experience point chains also don't count as a "FFXI" thing, they existed already in XIV, but the "NM Train" makes that somewhat unnecessary.

Sure there are some NMs with names you'll remember, Fafnir, Serket, Simurgh etc. and some glamour items from FFXI on top of that. But as a "System", Eureka is no where near that FFXI "feel". I enjoyed Eureka, but it died too fast due to how it was structured, or perhaps the lack of structure. Why doesn't the Dev. team look at how Dynamis, Limbus, Sky and Sea were structured? And then make a FFXIV take on those types of FFXI systems?
