FFXIV and WoW are probably the biggest MMOs on the market right now and they're both doing the same thing; going from a game to a business.

Nickel-and-dime-ing/shady player retention tactics are the two most prevalent things I see in both.

Remember back when FFXI was 'the' MMO then WoW came and set the new standard? We need that again, someone's gonna have to break the mold and break it right.
