Great that they make it one for male.
Personally, I would have seen the bunny outfit more like this for the body and the bunny tail on the shoes.

I live in the Middle East where there's just a whole lot of sexism on both sides that's just seen as a normality.

♥ Baby, tell me, what's your motive? ♥

I'm glad those that wanted it, finally got it. I hope when it's released, you guys rock it like the beautiful sexy beasts you are.![]()

But isnt it sad that the female staff needed to work on this (especially since they did not change it)?Actually, it was stated in an interview that Yoshida had his female staff working on designing gear and even had them working on the male bunny suit. So, I don't think all of his designers are male and honestly, I don't think the genders of the designers should matter? Orders are orders, and like all employees, they have to follow their boss. I'd say that Yoshida himself might have been uncomfortable with the idea possibly and perhaps a few other employees who thought the NA was joking and not serious. I mean, the EU and JP weren't exactly asking for it non-stop.
If they did not have much request and are uncomfortable with it, why not simply say no? This started two years ago and they simply could have said: This is female only but we will unlock the ears for you. And did that two years ago..this would have probably left some complains but I am sure that people would have gotten over it. Yet they did nothing for two years but still promised that its in the work. Its just strange that this again took so long while other request were done much faster. If they did not want to do it, simply release the ears and maybe another set of male only gold saucer glamour and be done with it. But dont take soo much time for one single glamour gear set.

Promising to work on something and then saying "we decided to scrap it because our workers don't want to work on it" is something a company should never do (Yoshi-P asked what players wanted, in front of a crowd. Someone said/shouted bunny outfits for men. Crowd apparently cheers... would be incredibly difficult to say "we can't do that"). Also, since this glamour was most likely low priority, it possibly took a back seat when the designers were needed to make progression/dungeon gear.

I'm disappointed that it isn't better suited for male characters like with the Chippendales vests that someone had previously mentioned. If they were going to leave the same they should have just unlocked it from the beginning. Oh well I suppose better than not at all, at least we have the ears to play around with.

It's ultimately their creative vision though. Pig suits and chocobo costumes are joke outfits, a bit different from fishnet stockings and high heels which may understandably make devs uncomfortable seeing male avatars running around in their game dressed like that. They're considerate enough to ask what people want to see put into the game, we should be considerate enough to leave well enough alone when the devs state they're uncomfortable with putting certain things into their game.I find it strange how they find this so uncomfortable yet we have that pig suit, we have countless of subligars, make up for males, the chocobo costume and more. Its kinda funny that its totally fine to have the women in this game being able to dress in barely nothing at all since probably a lot of the designers are male but as soon as you have something more sexy or different for males the same people are like "omg no". Maybe the need more female designers that are doing the male versions if they are somehow not able to do their job and only wants to do stuff that they are comfortable with.
To concur with what someone else said, the sex of the developers/designers is irrelevant. If something players want doesn't quite fit with the devs' overall plan for the game, they shouldn't feel obliged to include it. Especially if it's a bad Rocky Horror knock-off like this.
Because we are paying costumers.
Absolutely not. They're professionals who promised something. If they caved in to peer pressure and Yoshi ended up promising it, their word is still their bond. If they weren't going to make it, they should've said so. The way SE handled themselves regarding this is horrendous for a professional developer company, especially one of their size.we should be considerate enough to leave well enough alone when the devs state they're uncomfortable with putting certain things into their game.
Then they shouldn't have promised it in the first place, is the point.they shouldn't feel obliged to include it.

And they followed through on their promise. I believe the reason they said it wasn't included in the first place was because they were uncomfortable doing it, but if the demand was there, they'd do it. And they did.Because we are paying costumers.

I don't do much costuming, but I am a paying customer, and simply paying for a product doesn't mean you get to dictate every facet of that product and throw a fit when your bunny stockings don't fit the way you'd like. If their conduct is so horrendous, vote with your wallet.
True, but they can still learn from this ordeal.
I do, in what way I can as I still like the game enough in other ways. And others have, too, by leaving outright. But as was said before, it's also important for them to know WHY revenue is moving the way it does, so here we are.If their conduct is so horrendous, vote with your wallet.
