You should quit while you're ahead... or at least before you make this hole any deeper. Can of worms or not, it's the truth. *shrug* gay guys deserve options for them too, but you see all the people here suddenly wanting a chippendales outfit despite the fact that guys already could wear this in game without the ears and even they don't use the ears either. Bunny-suited guys really never have been a straight icon or anything, and the few I see in things like shoujo are just the ears...otherwise they look like Rabbit from zodiac war, hilarious.
It's the truth. Now that they actually did it, watching all the people shocked at what they got and desperately trying to make a version attractive to and will be worn by straights is pretty humorous. I think its perfectly fine they did it the way they did it. I do think a lot of people got a bit of an education in what happens when you ask for something, though.
Well, then you are going to have fun telling me who exactly wanted this bunny suit now that I am wrong, since everyone seems to be horrified it exists, lol. As for contrarian voices, eh no one wants those.

Okay, let's take a moment to review why what you're saying is not okay.
There are plenty of masculine gay men out in the world with absolutely zero interest in wearing women's clothing. Saying this is "the gays" is painting with too wide a brush.
Calling people "straights" is literally no better than calling people "gays", you're assuming common ground across a sexuality that you just aren't going to find all the time.
You're needlessly offending people and not making any points. You're contributing nothing to this discussion. You're spreading ideas that frankly don't need any more traction than they already have. You're derailing the topic. Stop, please, this mess doesn't need to be worse and it certainly doesn't have to broaden to drag in irl lgbt issues.
No, it's not okay because at this rate we're just going to erase the people who actually wanted this in favor of everyone else who is horrified they actually did it, because it's not attractive to them. I'll try to use blander language, but if you were serious about wanting an actual male bunny suit, you had to know that implementing it would tend to the drag and the camp. These concepts simply aren't attractive to the mainstream of people. The bunny archetype is probably one of the least male-friendly ones out there in a mainstream sense; I only know of a handful of male characters who even use it, one ridiculous (rabbit from zodiac wars) and one who just has bunny ears tacked on (the rabbit character from Alice in the land of Clover, who wears a full suit with ears on the hat.) Use it in the same way as the suit; many just essentially would have made it into the equivalent of a moogle or pig suit, i.e. stuffed animal. The mainstream really doesn't seem to link this archetype with men in the same way it does with women, which leads to dissonance when some do.
And this mainstream is very much in this thread pointing out why it is not attractive to them. This is okay, because everyone has that right. But we apparently can't even say who did mostly find this attractive enough to push for it, and who will wear it in game. This is going to lead to "oh, everyone is horrified it exists, delete balmung." It reminds you that you really exist on the sufferance of the mainstream community, who despite not wanting this and not finding it attractive, is trying to push for things that will be that way.
This bunny suit is fine, the audience who asked for it will enjoy it and like it. The people who don't, well, next time you want something attractive to you, don't try to hitch onto something that by nature isn't, ask for your own things.

I feel like I need to put "I don't care about the bunny suit" in my signature for the duration of this thread. Not your fault I know, I'm just tired of typing it.No, it's not okay because at this rate we're just going to erase the people who actually wanted this in favor of everyone else who is horrified they actually did it, because it's not attractive to them. I'll try to use blander language, but if you were serious about wanting an actual male bunny suit, you had to know that implementing it would tend to the drag and the camp, which favors a certain audience. This audience finds things attractive that it isn't popular for the mainstream.
My only problem is that you're still trying to make this an issue that has it's roots in a certain sexuality. It isn't. The more typically masculine glams like the ones Miste put up or the pictures of buff, shirtless men appeal to anyone into buff, shirtless men. That includes a lot of gay men but also a lot of straight women.
This isn't a matter of you using 'spicy' language but rather of you trying to pawn off the interest in this on gay people. We have seen even in this very thread people from multiple demographics dissatisfied with the bunny suit that came out, some people intending to use it for humorous purposes and some people who are fans of it. I'm willing to bet not all of any of those camps belong to one combo of gay man or straight woman or whatever.
Different people like different things. Implying gay people like men in womens clothing is like saying straight men like women in feminine clothing - sure, some do. Some like tomboys. Some women like women in feminine clothing too. There are lots of different groups of people who have a stake in this. That is the point I'm trying to make you see.
Stereotypes are dumb.
The people who kept asking for it? They're out there. Those requests didn't come from nowhere. Other people didn't want it and don't like it, which is true of basically everything except the Carbuncle slippers. (those things are weaponized adorable)
The idea that it was "the gays" is foolish. We have no way of knowing that, and no community that size is homogeneous enough to have a single opinion on anything.
