All mounts should be able to fly

I'd say the opposite actually... I'd like to see mounts that shouldn't be able to fly be grounded... the trex just looks silly... the Christmas bear can be explained away as can a few others... but I don't want to see flying behemoths... the ponies should fly... should be case by case... not all new mounts should fly either...

those mounts become useless then, because after getting the currents you pretty much never need to be on the ground again.
i'd be ok with it if we could use ground mounts in all cities, though.

Make everything able to fly, make everything able to swim. The lore is already shattered in the name of goofiness for FFXIV anyway.

One thing that'd be nice that could help resolve the immersion issue, though I've no idea how hard it'd be to implement, is an option to view others' Mounts - regardless of which they're using - as a generic Chocobo. I'd use it all the time. Beyond the ridiculousness of certain Mounts, many of them are also so large (here's looking at you, Yol) that they obnoxiously clutter my screen and egregiously clip through everything in sight. Please, let me just overlay them with a standard chocobo if I want to.
