I hope you're right ^^; because I believe it was an attempt of trolling...
It sounded like you was either neutral OR disagreeing with me :/

More like an attempt at showing people how absurd it is to expect SE to not work cause the land is in a crisis. People need normalcy and cash for that matter.
Most people in this thread seem to have missed the facts of the situation. Here's the announcement from TEPCO:

If you have a look at the pdf you'll see that for the most part each area has a blackout for 3 hours each day, with the possibility of another 3 hours depending on supply. It's also noted that there may be unplanned blackouts. This will continue until Saturday.-Caution-
Due to the Tohoku-Chihou-Taiheiyo-Oki Earthquake, TEPCO's facilities have been seriously damaged.
Therefore, we are very sorry but have decided to implement rolling blackouts.
As for regional blocks and time periods planned to have rolling blackouts, please look at the following link.
March 21st, Rolling blackout will not be implemented.
Implementation plan of rolling blackout on and after Sunday, March 20, 2011

Please call customer service for further detailed information.
-Starting and ending time of blackout periods may slightly differ.
-Depending on supply and demand conditions on the actual days, blackouts may occur at times which were not previously announced.
-We are taking all measures to restore power, however, we expect extremely challenging situation in power supply for a while. We kindly ask our customers to cooperate with us in reducing usage of power.
With the rolling blackouts and unreliability of power I highly doubt that SE would put the servers at risk by having them on for just most of the day so that some people get a few hours of game time here & there. I would expect tomorrows announcement from SE to state that they'll review the situation again on Sunday 27th March as they have no control over the power situation.

That's not really entirely true. They can make a contract with TEPCO or something like it. Companies being able to function is the first priority in the Tokyo area.as they have no control over the power situation.
S-E has had electricity since the crisis started 24/7. Their official forums nor the lodestone have been down at all.
So true, but I still have my hopes up that they will do something to restore FFXIV back againMost people in this thread seem to have missed the facts of the situation. Here's the announcement from TEPCO:

Totally agree with you. I hope it will be sooner but realistically speaking i think it will be later than 27th.With the rolling blackouts and unreliability of power I highly doubt that SE would put the servers at risk by having them on for just most of the day so that some people get a few hours of game time here & there. They'll come back online when they come back online. Everyone can talk, but no one know what everyone involved is thinking, until they tell us. Patience...we will find out more tomorrow.
In regards to OP, Squenix may have an update for a timeline on the operational status of their online services on March 22, but we may not necessarily have the servers up.
Correct if I'm wrong but 22 March JST time isn't today, or will be in 1:30 hours?
