    And Nero also says this:

Note "recreated", these are all defeated bosses from other dimensions.

For the sake of continuity, the only games that makes sense is FF8 or FFX, and since FFX actually has a different backstory for Omega, FF8's the most obvious one. That said, they could do both. Nobody said they had to stop at 12.

Omega specifically says 89. So if you do the math for ranked match, either there are 8, 4 or 2 ladders with one remainder. Delta(Δ) is "4", Sigma(Σ) is "200".

If you want to get into continuity fumbling, FF7 FF8 and FFX 's main protagonists all got put into kingdom hearts. So FF7 is probably overplayed at this point.

It was added to FF6's GBA version, so that's not quite right.

And if we're going to nitpick the difference between Omega and Omega Weapon.

Revised versions of FF1 and FF4 have Omega. Omega appears in FF5, FF11, FF12 and FF13-2, and FF15
Revised versions of FF6 have Omega Weapon, Omega Weapon appears in FF X, FFX-2, FF7(Dirge or Cerebus)

That's not really a nitpick, Omega and the omega weapon are very distinct things. Omega has been generally consistent in appearance in all incarnations, 4 legged robot, while the omega weapon takes on various more demonic forms in his different incarnations.

To call that a nitpick would be like saying making a distinction between imp and imperial soldier is a nitpick because they both have "imp" in the name.

To that end the omega weapon added in the GBA ff6 definitely is not the same as Omega. The same way the ultima beast in fractal continuum hard is not the same as the ultima weapon in Praetorium.

this is true, but I only used the #'d titles as that is where they have pulled from for this so far.

Additionally, a curveball could be from one of ENIX's original franchises...

When you do tournament fight arrangements, usually you start with X number of players.

So Omega says 89. This doesn't evenly divide, so lets' assume "omega" itself is the remainder whom we fight at the end.

That leaves 88 players, divided by 4 per game. Elsewhere in the game there was already a mention of there being other worlds, but for the sake framing this storyline, we're going to assume players didn't pay attention to both the Heavensward ending and the Warring Triad storylines.

So Deltascape was 4 bosses from FFV, Sigmascape was 4 bosses from FF6. So that means these two already won against others. (The developers probably did something like this)

    FF1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9/X/XII 8 from each

    FF1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9/X/XII 4 from each

    FF1/4/5/6/8/X 4 from each

FF1/5/6/8 4 from each <-- we're here (making an assumption about who the other winning games are)

The last fight still ends up being WOL vs Omega. So it would only make sense for the three battles before it to be the "sole winner" of 3 other games, which could just as easily be the final boss of 7, 8 and 9. Objectively, they wouldn't use FF III again since it was used for all three parts of the Crystal Tower alliance raids. And FFXII's used for the current Stormblood alliance raid.

At any rate, we'd be jumping the gun to claim that FF7 or any other FF game is used. Like if SE wanted to tie in the next fight to FFXV, they could do that and get away with it.

FF4 would be the best option because we could get some interesting bosses like:

    Magus Sisters
    4 Fiends
    Giant of Babel

    etc

FF7 is very limited...not counting Jenova which is a story character, we have: Airbuster, Schizo, Bottomswell, Aps, Rapps, Proud Clad, Hojo as potential bosses (not counting Red Dragon or Demonswall because they're generic).

FF8 bosses could work too, we have Trauma, Triface, Sphinxaur, Red Giant.

I don't think we'll see Sephiroth because 1) we have a boss named Sephirot already (BTW Sephirot and Sephiroth both have the same spelling in Japanese, they're both セフィロス (Sefirosu). 2) God Kefka was an angelic being that used Heartless Angel, and Heartless Angel was a One Winged Angel attack. It would be too similar of a character to battle.'

Instead, I see Omegascape being the "finalists", or rather v1.0-v3.0 won't be story bosses but should be super bosses from previous FF games:

    Omegascape 1.0: Vercingetorix
    Omegascape 2.0: Yiazmat
Omegascape 3.0: Absolute Virtue (Calls those self-destructing Wynavs for add phase, and Chainspells Meteors!)
    Omegascape 4.0: Omega

Those are really good choices. Id like to see superbosses as well.

Im trying to think, though, if maybe Bhunivelze would be a better choice from XIII
