What's your first impression of Eureka?

Exp gains are too modest to matter. I don't think they will increase chain parties or soloing. ... I don't know about the boss rendering better, and I guess the draw in thing being fixed is nice, but none of this changes anything really. You don't get increased crystals from soloing or partying, you still get anemos crystals only from FATES, and you can't actually do exp parties without a tank player and a healer player. You still have the big level penalties to exp in party, and you still can only chain solo from things your exact level

That's a shame, my buddy and I were hoping we'd stop getting punished for wanting to do the instance as a duo rather than join a bunch of strangers. Oh well. We'll still give it a go but if what you say is true we'll probably be back to ignoring Eureka and wishing SE understood what "fun" meant to us soon enough.

To be fair, if I met my daily posting limit every day I'd have way more posts. This account is 7 years old now, and you have half as many posts as me in less than 1 year :P

I think I've only ever met my limit twice, and both were during expansion launches.

My boyfriend and I duo'd all the way to 20. Never joined a party except for Pazuzu kills once we got to 19 since we weren't sure if we'd get full credit for the feathers.

We just did both of us on tanks or we did tank and healer and followed the NM trains (if you don't have at least one person on tank it might not be doable though). Got gold just the two of us. Mind you we sometimes ignored higher level FATEs cause we might get bronze if we died too much or silver (silver isn't bad though you still get around 75%? of the EXP that you would from gold credit)

Once you get to around level 13+ it starts to get easier and easier since most FATEs you can go to easier and also get credit easier.

Took us about a week, but we spent quite a bit of time in there for that week. Less time to play would take longer but it is still manageable.

Ye, but the problem still remains if you want to help a friend of a lower level.
I mean the 30% is something, but doesn't fix problems which btw have always been there in the game, but since most of the game doesn't really works with mob grinding wasn't really in our face

It's not shifting goal posts, but giving you an example. When you're arguing against someone, you should never resort to name calling, even if they started it or it describes what they're doing perfectly. It doesn't add anything and only makes you look disrespectful/just as disrespectful.

Oh I see, you where trying before Alleo responded, but I did not see either till after Alleo posted.

But even so it goes with my first reply, it is a situation that basically can't happen. I do not sit here mindlessly pulling different fallacies to shoot someone down for no reason outside to be defensive. Valkyrie_Lenneth is a good example of this. It is never explained this or that, it is just one sentience insults to provoke flame war. The difference between that and what I do, I sit here and explain the way I came to conclusions just to have them dismissed. This is far more insulting to me, then being called a word. This is also another reason I asked someone how much they plan ahead when they speak. I wanted to see if someone planned so far ahead to end up as this flow:
*posts misdirection on purpose, expecting someone to insult them*
*someone does "insult them*
*bait is taken, now can easily play victim, distracting away from the main topic on the flaws of diadem*
*result is getting thread locked with no hope of recovery, because they dislike people being "too negative" about something they enjoy.
The person in question simply said they did not want to reply to me. So this can be caused by 3 reasonings, one they where just being defensive on the fly, or they saw I caught on what their true objective was, and did not want me talking further about that. (Or for third maybe I over analyze stuff for a forum like this and people are just left confused, not knowing what to say, I got no clue)

basically the point of view conflict here is the fact I saw Alleo's first, and thought you where jut adding something unnecessary for no reason, since they answered it in full, and explained what you where trying to get at, in a clearer manner (and I explained why before, your way is confusing to me since it is a situation that can't exist) I do not sit here pulling attacks and fallacy to silence someone, purposely trying to misrepresent what people say to me.

this shouldn't been said at all, all it does is provoke flame war, I was more referring to this, with yours misunderstood as trying to add to it. Basically I felt ganged up on when Alleo explained things perfectly.

Exactly. I do have my own thoughts about people in some forums that I visited but its probably for the best not to post them even if they describe the person quite right. Its just better to ignore it and just post your ideas. Thus nobody can use your post against you in any way even if they are wrong. I agree that its hard but imo you can point out word twisting by posting the evidence but still best to not attack personally because that will put the focus on this and not the argument itself.

See this answers my question in full, esp these parts, asking me "how do I feel about being called an insulting word" makes no sense since it is something not important to me and easy to counter in an argument to explain why it does not fit. This is not what people have done so far that felt "insulted", all they tell me is to "shut up" basically, not very good debate material.

Diadem 3.0 is a poor design with no content in it for the delays it got. Nothing to show for those delays. I do not like how some word twist this and suggesting I said stuff when I didn't (when I was trying to explain how it compared to PoTD and other relics, people twist what I was trying to say to show why people shouldn't complain. This is way more insulting to me, then calling me something that is not true and easily disprove.

I feel the best way to deal with comments telling you/implying you to "shut up" is to just assume you've won the argument/debate (naturally you don't say/post this), especially if everything before then was being debated in a civil manner. If it was someone just piggybacking (as I frequently do), then naturally you pay them no mind. At least, that's what I would do.

You also know where I stand with Eureka and I know where you stand. We no longer have to argue against each other over this as we'd just end up going through the same steps of the dance again. I will say that Eureka was probably held back until 4.2(5) as SE was probably figuring out how to make it so that FFXIV could handle having players hold 999 of X item. I can't prove this of course, but we both know that Eureka requires ~1400 Protean Crystals to go from base to +2 (imagine if this was still required when we could only hold 99 of X item).

You know what? I'm changing my opinion. I'm actually enjoying Eureka. Before I got busy IRL, I got to LV7. I started grinding yesterday and I've reached LV13. I got my first set of relics (DRK) to +1. Joining the NM train isn't as boring as I initially felt. Eureka still has issues of course, but I am enjoying it. (Though I try to have a live stream or something to watch)

Though I'm curious to hear what SE thinks about the NM trains. I know the patch notes said they increased the bonuses for chaining, but how much better is it now? I feel like no one wants to chain mobs.

One opinion I will not change though is the mounts. 17 is way too high for mounts, especially with how big the map is and how slow we run. Something like LV13/14 would be better. It's frustrating to run across the map for an NM and not make it because people pulled early and you don't have a mount.
