Taunt - Generates 242 enmity, puts a "taunted" debuff on the target, and forces the target to attack you for about 1-2 seconds while the "tauntrf" debuff is active on the mob.

Provoke - Generates 402 enmity only.

Warmonger - Generates 0 enmity, puts an "enraged" debuff on all mobs in range, and forces the mobs to attack you for about 1-2 seconds while the "enraged" debuff is active. It also puts a buff on yourself that increases enmity generation for about 20 seconds.

Enmity values are for a rank 50 class. Taken from here:

Use all three on single targets. Whatever's not on cooldown.

^^And Disorient is actually about on par with Taunt (too lazy to look up exact numbers) with a much shorter cooldown.

Does using an ability delay autoattack? Because if spamming abilities delays tp generation/weaponskill damage too much, you might actually be hurting yourself in the emnity generation.

Yeah was wondering about auto-attack swing. From what I can tell, yes if u spam your abilities the auto-attack wont happen and thus no TP.

since MRD has 4-4.5 sec swing timer I find myself alot in situations where I am thinking "should I pop the ability now, or wait right after the next swing?"

The auto-attack itself is not very strong but it adds up I geuss, plus the fact that you get alot of TP per hit.

The problem of AA will be the removal of basic actions. Right now you can time a swing to get TP...but after 1.20 TP generation might become a issue (again) to MRDs.

Unless they turn AA into a separated system (like FFXI AA) where only specific actions (the ones whose effect triggers at next attack only, like raging strike is here) would actually delay it, MRD might have enmity/DD issues again...because standing by for 5 seconds to miss the mob is already well known o not work well (vide FFXI DRK).

Or they could just seperate the AA from abilities, meaning AA will go off even if you are using a skill.

Eh I think it's too early to judge whether or not MRD will have any problems with AA/TP generation next patch. We have yet to receive specific information that would determine it's role, such as ability/ws cooldowns, traits, etc.

MRD could very well become the biggest beast next patch for all we know currently. Only time will tell.

It's what i said. FFXI AA is calculated separated...only certain actions actually have impact to AA but, fot most of them, it just keep going regardless of what you do.
