What's your first impression of Eureka?

I do like your points and I often like them but in this case I have to defend Reynhart. He was not meant with that sentence. I dont feel that he is a troll, or that he is really offending. (At least not to me ^^ He even went out of his way to answer my question about the life time of Eureka if I remember it correctly.

I do not know your personal standards how to define a troll or not, but I need say this. I did my best explaining my ENTIRE thought process and why I view things I view. He could of pointed out where the misunderstanding may be. But instead of trying get more understanding and cooperation, giving me the same respect and time I gave him, he just ignores what I had to say and dismissive. So with this respect, I do not get how one can say "both sides" are at fault, when every time I reach for understanding, I am tossed away like I do not matter.

Lol, I've tried asking him legit questions on a thread he started, instead he chooses to engage in what he is calling a flame war. Just like eureka, he doesnt like it yet continues to do it.

If you are referring to me, I find this post highly flame war provoking. Do I need to explain why? or why your second post in my thread is? or are you just doing this well knowing that? I did not even get to answer your first post yet, what are you even on about or who are you talking to? If you are referring to me, you are flat out lying then because I did not do any flame war in that thread.

Also note I do like debating, just because I do not like the way some do so, does not mean I hate the general concept. I like debating because I want to learn how people think, and how they see things, if they allow me that is, very irritating what Reynhart has done to me in the past and now.

Because we had someone in this thread and others that disliked it and used pictures and stuff like that to attack those that like it and constantly using white knights and stuff like that in posts does not make for a better argument even if the point itselfs are good. At the same time people that disliked it also got swept into one group by some other posters and insulted them through that. Both of it is not good for a discussion.

I dont know if my posts are aggressive or not (I try to not be that way) because English is not my mother tongue but I am quite sure that you wont find words like white knights or fanboy in them, simply because it could just start flame wars. Sadly even when I say that I will keep out of stuff I sometimes have the urge to post answers anyway. x)

If we take a recent example of my troubles, the only way I can understand that person's action is because they think SE is always in the riht and they always make correct designs. If they really disagreed with me with bad MSQ change (why they bring that off topic subject here?) along with word twisting and attempting to fact steer, how can I conclude anything but "blindly defending SE" no matter what they do? in the end such thing only harms the game, throwing everyone else that may have issues "you do not matter"

I may need some post quota to reply to my thread since I was attacked (I think?) for not replying to it.

Thanks. Honestly I am just not sure because I have people that attacked me and saying that I was twisting their words so I was not sure if I had not done so without my intention. But when I read through it again I often get the feeling that it was them twisting my words and when I again use arguments I mostly dont get answers back on that posts so I kinda assume that it truly was just done to flame a bit.

No you are not the person with the pictures but yes you do call people white knights some times which might make some poster way more offensive/angry that they intended to be. Yet its also on the other side on how to react to it. And they also had some posters that truly just insulted. I think that over the few days thanks to some insults the heath has grown a bit stronger again (but honestly I still find most of the post on the last few pages still quite okay.) I am just a bit annoyed that its somehow still pushed onto the side of those that dislike it.

Honestly you will always have people that will defend a company no matter what. I have been on so many reddit subpages and other game forums and you will find them there too. Exactly how you will also always find the people that will hate everything about the game/company and need to go in every thread to post about that. This forum is still quite fine. (Gamefaqs is imo troll heaven) I think people are just highly emotional about Eureka and any topic that its about it so that people can increase the flame war on any side even faster.

But I will be blunt: White knights, blind fanboy and stuff like that might be something that are truthful for some people (and no I am talking about FF14 alone in that) but honestly even if they behave that way (again I am not meaning this forum I am speaking in general) its still way better to just not have these words in posts. People can take it the wrong way and suddenly you have a lot of dislike against you even if the points themselves might be great. And it gives people fuel to use these posts to attack the other side while ignoring the content of the post itself. And others who might feel attacked that way too will jump in with them and agree and thus some simple words may just have created the start of another "war". I am not saying that you should not post or dont point out that someone is twisting your words (because that has happened in this very thread) but putting certain words in a post will not make it look better and just make sure that the war will go on. But thats just my opinion on this. In no way I am greater or stuff like that, I had my fair share of aggressive posts too (especially when you talk about something you are passionate about be it in a negative or positive way) and maybe some were a bit too harsh but I am quite sure that nobody will find any direct insults in them.

So but enough of this off topic and time to go to bed. @_@
