    Nono, what they meant is the elemental sync. Say, you have 5 elemental points on Fire. The NM syncs you down to level 9, it means that you'd lose 2 of these 5 points because you're under level 13/17.

    With the current system, only your level goes down, as you still keep your 5 elemental points.

    Retaining magicite after level sync is a major contributor towards the NMs melting as quickly as they do now, so changing that will make things easier on the late-comers.

    So they're essentially just attempting to say "We're going to nerf higher level players on lower level NMs" in a positive way.

    Well, that's just stupid.

    They're more worried about that than they are about the fact that you can't play with anyone who differs in any significant way from your level anywhere except the train?

    Talk about backwards priorities.

    although i find the fact that nms melting in less than a minute is a problem, this still doesn't address the fact that as a lvl20, i can't play with my lvl1 friends without robbing them of their xp.

    yeah it is stupid, it is confusing to me as well since from my understanding, the Japanese of was asking for a level sync so they can play with friends.

    Anyway wouldnt that change mean that its getting even harder for solo players or really small groups so kill the NM? Since before that they might have at least got a bit of help with the wheel but since that is now going to be nerfed..

    By comparison, we have the same thing with the role abilities. Doesn't really seem like a nerf and more like an obvious mistake. Low level NMs melt as fast as 2.0 hunts, so this definitely would give late-comers a chance at better ratings and rewards.

    I think the problem is arrogance tbh. The same kind that did 1.0 in. Basically my view is this on the whole situation. They release something, whatever it may be, people speak on problems, then turn around and think this "Oh it will be fine, we will release this and people will buy it anyway. It is FF, no way FF game will fail, so no need to put in extra effort to change things"

    (In other words they do not care what we say, they just want to put the least amount of effort and time in this game, the same thing that happened with the glam dresser "glams made easy" or the MSQ change. Putting in so little effort because it is less money put in)

    I been trying to read the Japanese OF about this and here is one (weak) example of them basically wanting level sync (a reasonably way to play with friends)

    This is talking about how it is hard to play with FC friends (note "PT and FC being used here) it has 71 likes, also it should be noted that earlier in the post it seems like this person is disagreeing on the idea reaching level 20 is "reasonable effort". I also believe where "GCD" is said, they are talking about talking/chatting as they play, how hard it is, basically what we been complaining about with how hard it is to talk with the button mashing. (seems to be a comment to someone talking about how they can talk while GCD is on cooldown)

    ofc I may be off but that is my understanding of the post.

    I don't think that will help. It's more that low levels don't have aetherytes or mounts, which means that they can't easily get to many battles from across the map. They also have more risk of aggro, because the aggro declines dramatically just with a few levels difference between you and the mob. You only need to hit the mob once or twice to get full credit in a party.
