In what way did Dark494 attackyouKrotoan?

This:
Implies I'm arguing a point I personally know nothing about. Attacking my personal knowledge and experience.
If that was not the intent, that's great! But the discussion should be kept to the content and it's experiences, not implying lack of knowledge or experience or skill or empathy.
WHERE IS THIS KETTLE EVERYONE KEEPS INTRODUCING ME TO?

Fair enough. To be honest, I mostly only responded to Vstarstruck because she decided to make it sound like people are defending content that has nothing in it (that can cause people to double down and it accomplishes nothing but more arguments). Eureka has content (obvs), but it is also flawed. However because it's a part of the Relic quest line, SE has to work on updating and fixing it (and if they don't, then I will shift from 'I like it' to 'I'm disappointed in you SE').Implies I'm arguing a point I personally know nothing about. I will say I'm half'n'half with your 'Eureka brought toxicity back' comment. I haven't seen much toxicity in Eureka personally, but I will say there are greedy players in there. I could solo spawn a NM and wait for people to arrive... and then get disappointed by the first person to arrive because they're a greedy numpty and attacked the NM the second they were in range. If people actually waited, we'd have multiple groups in different areas working on spawning NM's and less low level people afking waiting for the NM to spawn (depending on what windows are closed, they'd probably do kill chains on mobs 1-5 levels above them. I think this is what people on the Japanese data centres do. Unless that's changed).
When there's less people in an instance, I feel people are more likely to actually wait. Last night, I was in an instance that only had around 40 people in it and multiple groups went off on their own to spawn NM's. My group fought Monoeyes, another group went to the Hazmat zone... was neat. Eventually ended with just 9 people in the instance (I was the lonely 9th) and we 9-manned Lamashtu (which I learned gets stronger the lower its HP gets, so being alone, I had to put my stats on Defence. The Full Party did say they would keep me alive, though).
Unrelated, but I've been wondering. If a low level player has claim on a mob and a high level person outside of their party helps them kill the mob, does the low level player still get decent experience? or do they get nothing because a high level player helped them?

The low level gets nothing if the high level is much higher level. I hear it even happens when a high level heals the low level without being in a party, but I've not tested it myself. It really sucks to have to ask people to stop hitting your mobs when they are just trying to help.

I would be lying if I said Eureka added nothing. I want all the rewards but the path to them really doesn't appeal to me in many ways. There are also restrictive and possibly griefable mechanics along with useless limitations.Fair enough. Pulling things "early" has always been a point of contention but I've never really blamed people for attacking things as soon as they got there. It'd be NICE to wait, but it's not trolling to pull as soon as you can as long as you can handle the encounter.I will say I'm half'n'half with your 'Eureka brought toxicity back' comment. the toxicity I'm talking about though is more the people using the new (in FFXIV) mechanics. Like xp gimping (I'll get into this on your other question) or training monsters on top of lowbies who are already surrounded by threats or training unnecessary trash into a NM swarm.
The xp gets absolutely destroyed. I know for a fact when I first started and nobody knew the instance I was "helping" another player kill something and the xp we were getting was horrid. Like 10-12. Then when we partied the xp went up to 30's per. We were both lvl 1-2. Later I partied with some people like 2-3 levels above and it was 30-40 xp per at level 3-4. I'm sure it was partially the monsters we were killing but when they left it jumped to 50-70. Later I was 10 and helping a bunch of newly minted people and I was getting absolutely no xp on lvl 5-6s I don't know exactly what the lowbies were getting but they said it was super slow (it might have been OK? Nobody quoted numbers and I didn't ask). We moved to damselflys (9s) and I was getting chains but it was 10-12 xp for me, I think the newbies were getting 50-60.When there's less people in an instance, I feel people are more likely to actually wait. The major problem I have with this is the speed. It's hours of chaining when you could just be NM zerging for far less risk and effort. The next problem is the potential for griefing. We had a zerg move in on the monsters we were killing when I was.. level 7 I think? The sea monks, and our xp went down to nothing. If someone really wanted to mess with people they could pop on top of some lowbie party and kill all their mobs, leaving them with no xp and breaking their chains. This potential is not in the overworld and while I have hope for humanity I know for a fact there are people out there who only play games to ruin others experiences and adding any sort of thing they can exploit is a bad idea. With XP penalties for death and reduced xp for people tapping your mobs? I can see the threads now.

I view this comment as part as to why we cant have nice things because comments like that is what makes it that we are unable to display that we stand solid on a topic because one minute you say yes & then the other second you say no, changing camp like this on "official" forums statements is the equivalent of someone joining my party for xp & then try to push "my/our group" to move to nm train & then when we dont because we stand our ground they leave & so next person that join do the same but in the end minus being a waste of time, we keep going with the exp chain minus when the train come & wreck our targets.Read my posts if you want,I claimed it several times already that ppl change opinions & its never good, settle down because, sadly comments like what you said is what make it seem that most players dont care & then "they" understand "make it seem" in census that what we care more about is CUTE MINIONS vs REAL CONTENT.Stop putting dung in my dbox ppl!
