I know that you were sarcastic. That part was quite clear from your post. You cant replace it perfectly thats why I posted things that Dungeons do better than Eureka in my view. Thats why I asked you again: What long term options does Eureka give you?

Dungeons might be boring but they are still used even today. And they are part of the basic formular in the game and not a new innovative content. You go and say that about the basic content, while I used things like PotD that are additions to the basic game..Eureka is not a basic but an addition. And for me an addition should have some long term use otherwise I kinda wonder if budget was not misused for it. I pointed out quite some points that speak for PotD for example and I was interested in the opinions of the people what Eureka can do to stay alive even in 5.0. (Other than being part of the whole relic chain and thus forcing people to play it if they want them)

You dont need PotD for any improtant weapon in this game (or relic) and yet its still alive. And unlike niche content like PvP, Eureka kinda was seen as the new additional conten for the casual playerbase and a major point for SB.

Dungeons give you i325 gear, and since it doesn't drop weapons and you can't have two rings, you can't reach i325 by dungeons only, thus locking you away from the rest of the content. Sure, it's not that hard to complete your stuff with some tome gear, but if you include tome gear, you create another problem. If you diligently farm tomestones, you already have better gear for all you jobs, without any RNG requirement. At least, 4.0 provided enough gear that you could enter Deltascape without any tome gear.

On the other hand, you can join Eureka right after reaching level 70, with your job gear, and obtain (with some time) enough gear to access every content up to date. And there wasn't any gear before Eureka that was already higher than Eureka.

Edit : Another thing that hit my mind. Sure, Eureka gear may not be the best of all, but, any equal or higher gear except crafting and weapon is weekly locked. That's also a big point for Eureka when it comes to gearing multiple jobs.
Thanks for your post and view. You are right, gearing is probably one of the points for Eureka my problem is that you can use it now but later on (5.0 for example) you wont really need its gear anymore because you either get stuff from 5.0 directly or have cheap tomestone gear to catch up. You kinda can say the same about dungeons but at least older dungeons can still be used to gear when you level up, while Eureka is lvl70 only and you should have quite a lot of options at that time. But thanks again for answering my questions.

There is honestly no right way to do this. If most people want to do the fate train why not?

Also Reinha wrote that they want the weapon and the mount. So they dont need to be max level for that. If you just want the loot the best way (imo) is the fate train because you get lots of Anemos crystals to exchange for the other ones and you can only get the boxes by killing NM. Thus staying with the train will give her the security needed, give her the loot and will give her a decent amount of exp. While leveling away from it can mean that they first have to take their time to find people on the same level, kill these things one after the other and then hope that you get to the NM fast enough before its death.

Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
