It's not really a self-fulfilling prophecy if it's made to get worse by design, all gear in the game has the same problem. Unless you are only in it for glamour, every second you don't have your gear is a second closer to it being obsolete.

I am only doing it for the glamour (well the end version not the current form) as I assume the 360 gear is better - perhaps? Maybe not for healers but I'm sure for melee the 360 weps have higher weapon damage..? Anyway, something I need to look into.
Also I'm just a competitionist in the sense I want the WHM set and wep just so I know I have them. I'm weird like that.

The self-fulfilling prophecy bit is more about I make myself part of the problem - almost some kind of Bad Wolf paradoxy-thing : I'm worried everyone will rush through it and stop so I rush through it and stop and become that person. *Head Explodes*

Ha! Completion in the loosest sense I suppose. I have the HW one finished and I'm onto the crafting/Desynth stage for the ARR one.
If Achievements were actually relevant in this game I probably would be sucked into that too - so I'm kind of glad they're not!

Oh we have a new name - looks like they got around to dealing with the previous one.
Shame we have to endure this yet again though.
