Unsubscribed today Eureka killed it

The thread has a tittle, and I just wanted to check if it's true; finding that, for now, it's not true.

The thing is... you literally can't know if someone is subbed or not by looking at their profile, as that's a status that is exclusive to their account on the mog station. Not the lodestone.
Now, if the title would be "I logged off today for good", then you would have something to stand on, but... it's not.

Yeah, that's why I said to check at least 1 month after, but that would make me a "stalker", right? /sigh

I was just tired of the "unsubbing because potato" threads because they're usually fake.

Edit: unsubbing from this thread! Too much offtopic from a sidenote :P (I'll check in 1 month anyways, since I'm a professional stalker >:3 )

You still wouldn't be able to unless the person changes their outfit or gets any achievements. I know a few people who only log in for RP and their lodestone hasn't changed in months. That's why lodestone "stalking" is not a useful thing.

I understand you being tired. The title is so dramatic and pathetic. What he is trying to accomplish? I wont change my opinion about the game regardless he continue playing or not (and i doubt anyone will). Also Square Enix isnt going to change all the system cause a random guy says he is unsubbing. Some people like it and others no, its no like everyone hates it. And the people who like it are many, so i doubt there is a problem with Eureka more than personal taste. This is just whining and crying and no even a formal request to change things

I understand beign tired of this kind of thing, especially after 10+ years of beign in the genre, but since usually ppl do this because they want attention and want flame wars, the best thing to do is ignore them.
As some have said the one that go away quietly are the ones SE should care more about.

No but there is simply no way to tell SE the exact same reason why you unsubbed. If they change that then maybe we would not need posts like the OPs one in the general forum. Posting why he is leaving also gives SE a chance to change things.

I am still quite baffled by the amount of mean comments. I mean nobody is forced to read the thread and there are so many threads in this part of the forum that could have simply be stuffed into others. (The x amount of thread from that one poster about Eureka for example) What is one more of that. People calling others attention seeking while somehow its not possible to just ignore such threads and need to flame in them.

If OP really wanted to leave he would've just left and not wasted his time posting it on the forums. In every forum ever since the dawn of the internet noone cares why you're leaving said game. It's never been anything other then " bye" Or various memes people made for these kinds of things. I'm not saying it's right to call him out or whatever but you can't blame people for being sick of these kinds of threads and then posting they are sick of these threads when he posted it in the first place. Yes we don't have to read it.. but on the same coin.. he didn't need to post it either.

or you know.. they might want to return IF the game has certain changes made and this is a way to relay those wants or requests.

So if he does seek attention the adult way to handle this is by being mean to him, stalk his profile and so on? If you (as in the people) think that he is just doing that to get attention why not just ignore its post? Because with every single post that the other side do will just keep the thread on the front line thus giving it more attention. I am just always a bit baffled that people cant just ignore some threads. I dont go into everyone and if I dislike a thread I still stay mostly on topic for this.

I am on the forum a lot and I dont see such threads that often..and again..people dont need to read them. x)

(And if you look at the first and second post they are nearly the same amount of likes, so yes a lot people dont like his post but also quite a lot of people agree with him)

I remember when I briefly unsubbed, there was a "pick from among these" list of options to say why you were doing so. I don't think there was any "other" field to give your own response, however. Not sure if it's still like that.

The forums are not just for the other players; they're for the devs to get feedback as well. At least, they're supposed to be.
