    Considering how many times they implented some sort of content "unfinished" isnt the first time even with Eureka.
    When squadrons got implented you basically were able to recruit, level and sent them on missions for the scrolls.
    Now we can run with them 7? dungeons and earn achievements/emotes. Considering how "dead" squadrons are, I would also expect Eureka to get more features over time.

    The only question still stays though. What did take so long to create Eureka and delay it from last big patch? Basically they fused diadem 1.0 and 2.0 into one; yet once you get your 3 sets of relic done; all minions and mounts/glam etc; will eureka stay dead or still be active?

    I think it'd take a while for Eureka to get quiet at all because the rate that you earn crystals at higher levels is good enough to encourage people to get full sets of their stuff upgraded and multiple different job sets at that. I wouldn't be surprised if people with all 70's try to get all or most of their weapons fully upgraded. I'm tempted to try for all of the healer ones just to have something to do.

    We are also just at the very start of the content, there's going to be more maps or expansion of the one we have eventually. The current area is wind themed, it's going from there idk where. We can see other places we can't get to yet, most noticeably the castle which will probably be the next section.

    I'm a former XI player; I played for about 4 years before moving over to WoW.

    The "XI content" I'd want to see in XIV is Dynamis. If SE were to add a version of Dynamis to XIV it would actually be the most raid-esque zone in the game aside from Crystal Tower/Void Ark/Rabinastre. I think they "tried" to do something similar to Dynamis with Eureka, but they really missed the mark.

    A Dynamis-Eureka type place could've been nice:
    • Enter as an alliance group - Dynamis could have 64? people in the same instance, but you could do it easily with 24? (it's been a long time; I can't remember exact numbers, but you didn't even need half of 64)
    • Roam the zone strategically killing trash (and being mindful of patrols) so as not to get overwhelmed and interrupting/CC'ing (or even kiting, lol) as appropriate
    • Kill the bosses - that are always there even if some required trash to trigger; there were no NM spawns you might miss (HNM was separate content)
    • Get loot - off bosses AND potentially trash mob drops
    • Get relic currency - off everything
    • Do relic bosses - or not
    • Get loot locked until whatever reset - for Dynamis you were barred from even entering for 3 days, but SE should probably treat it like a regular raid reset instead of a zone lock
    1. I'd leave out the annoying Dynamis parts like needing to buy the hourglass to enter, having to wait your turn because of limited instances, and maybe having to get the time extensions to stay inside. Although time extensions were sometimes fun.
    2. SE could keep their Eureka elemental wheel if they wanted to, I suppose. It certainly would add another level of play.
    3. "Open world" is a concept that doesn't always work because of zergs; they usually have to be tempered with lockouts. In its current form, if Eureka was instanced in some fashion, you wouldn't have the zerg train - not that that would really elevate this particular "content" very much. I know people pine for open world type stuff, but without lockouts on loot drops, endless farming zergs won't stop. You'll need to choose between lockouts/instances and zergs. You also cannot just limit mob credit to the first-hit parties, because doing so leads to claim wars, which are never fun for long.
    4. Long NM spawn triggers/timers for progression are kind of lame. We knew that already from book fates, S rank hunts, and OG diadem.
    I was hoping Eureka would be something other than a mindless mob grind, but I was prepared to be disappointed. Imo, the best relic phase was the original i90 when you had to kill primals for your weapon, but I like raids/boss fights more than low-effort grinds which is why I play WoW most of the time. I'll just intermittently sub to XIV for events/story updates like I've been doing... until I can't bring myself to do even that. It's a good thing I don't have a house.

    That is not 2 hours a day play, so I am going to tell you that you are factually wrong. How long does it take you to get the point of 100 crystals per hour? pure BS. This also does not change the fact of mindlessly AoEing monsters for something is not 17 months worth of wait. We had no relic to grind for till the later half of this expansion. We only get 4 more 8 man raids, 2-24 man raids, it is very late releasing a relic, and this mindless grind is what we do for such a long wait? This kind of grind could of been achieved without programing this massive complex and unfulfilling area. They could of at least start SB with a relic then have it continue in this diadem 3.0 This "content" had no thought put behind it.

    We were not given 17 months of development content. I really wished they abandoned it early on saying the programing to implement is too complex for this game so they could done something else with better thought. How long the grind is has nothing to do we literally got no content with the effect it had on developing this. would making a relic weapon i360 requiring 100k crystals magically make it content? does not matter how long the grind is or how much some people have fun in it, the fact remains we did not get content that validated stripping SB from other areas. They could improved inventory management better in all that time, or give us a glam log. This no content place with its long development time is insulting.

    Not nearly enough Fazraye. Many more changes need to be made. As it has been said many many times leveling is an issue. New players and others will find in increasingly hard to do this when participation drops. Group needs to be made easier. Already seeing higher lvl groups. No one wants to group with lvl 0 or 1s. Ilvl synch should not be at 300. It is too harsh. 330 would be more appropriate. There is already easier gear to acquire without the massive time dedication. I liked 2.0 and 3.0 relics this is a step in the opposite direction. If you want people to stay in Eureka then appropriate changes need to be made.

    I got in and got 100 anemos crystals in 1 hours since at least they are 200 protean you can do the math yourself
    I'm not max level yet and I've done mostly low level NM too so yes it's by no mean a long grind or a long term goal

    Not at all. That is just a numbers game and SE can VERY easily nerf the crap out of the zone to the point that it becomes soloable with moderate effort.
    Considering that they did that with virtually every relic related activity so far, that is exactly what I will be waiting for.

    After all: cosmetics are timeless, no need to slave away if they nerf it anyway.

    So I got my +2 weapon and a shirt upgrade while I'm halfway to level 11. Starting to think that the estimation is that by the time you're 20 and can get Pazuzu feathers for the 355 upgrade, you should have about a fully upgraded set of gear as well. Which is actually nice, lets me feel awarded over time by picking new glamour pieces if not outright upgrades.
    That said, I can only stay in there for so long at a time. Grind is as grind does and it wears me out.

    Went in for a second time a few days ago. Second impression was worse than my first impression. I was so bored. It's like they took everything I hate about XIV and crammed it into one instance. Mindless grinding. Repetitive combat. Technical issues caused by too many people being crammed into one place deliberately.

    At this point I have no idea if I'll ever get the relic. I'm not sure I care, either. It's something I can only tolerate at all with friends, and even then it bores me so much that I barely want to play the game at all after being in there a while.
