I have to say, thank you for your reasonable attitude and voice of reason. I personally am not a fan of Eureka but im quite tired of seeing people being attacked by SE white knights.
It's ok to not like content people. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'd have hoped we'd get a new iteration of PotD at this point of time. They've cut the content developed for the general player base yet again (from 3 dungeons in 2.0, to 2 dungeons in 3.0, to 1.5 dungeons in 3.0) and have only offered up in exchange Ultimate which the vast majority of the player base doesn't do. We had already got Diadem 1.0 with the last expansion, so I don't really count Diadem 3.0 (Eureka) as something we'd have given up a dungeon for.
That's not Full Metal Alchemist equivalent exchange. That's a bad deal.
It's not also flattering with that one time YoshiP said that he gave us too much content in 2.0.

Got 1 dungeon in 4.1 instead of two. Features we did get lacked any good polish, the dresser is an example of something that wasn't ready to come out at all. Hildebrand is pathetically shorter than it's HW counterpart. Seriously, the 4.1 quest was ONE QUEST and we had to wait for 4.25 for more. Rhalgyr's didn't get any updates over time, unlike Mor Dhona and Idylshire, making the place boring and stale.
There's a few things for ya.
But he's right though the only thing that was cut from the formula was 1 dungeon from the odd patches, are you per chance asking them to reimplement things like pvp? what is this content that got cut exactly?
And frankly dungeons have met plenty of criticism so what's the point?

I'm enjoying the zone more now that NM trains are a common thing, though the slackers who just AFK at the base or worse, follow the train without doing anything to help spawn the NMs and frequently dragging enemies onto the train in the process are making me mad, particularly because they'll still do nothing even if the enemies are taking long enough to kill that they could make a significant contribution.
I'm starting to make a mental note of the latter group and not bothering to revive them (Though sadly, most others don't).

My first impression was like " Where the heck is Egi Glamour? "
nah but seriously I have yet to run it actually but most of this feedback is all the information I need to not run it. I have not done any of the relic grind anyways.
It's the snakes that they needlessly drag into the fight that gets to me. If they would just die and wait to be raised it would be better for everyone.I'm enjoying the zone more now that NM trains are a common thing, though the slackers who just AFK at the base or worse, follow the train without doing anything to help spawn the NMs and frequently dragging enemies onto the train in the process are making me mad, particularly because they'll still do nothing even if the enemies are taking long enough to kill that they could make a significant contribution.

Im saying the grind isn't as bad as people are making it out to be just spending even 1-2 hours getting a lvl a day you will eventually hit 20. Its fine to not like content but constantly whining over content that hardcore people finished in a couple days just seems silly considering its supposed to last 3 months. Also that is for one weapon people are going to want to do every fate possible to get as much anemos crystals to obtain armor and weapons for multiple classes.
edit- Also to answer that question yes I do see it being an issue joining in late due to how the content is set up. Imo they will probably nerf the difficulty and increase xp gains when the content dies down like any other relic step.

It's pretty bad so far in that in order to have what feels like a decent rate of progression (yes this is very subjective, I'm sure someone somewhere is fine with solo leveling rates) you HAVE to be in the NM train. In order to make a dent in many of those NM's you HAVE to be in a party. In order to be in a party you need to be in the level range of that party or find some higher levels who don't mind you noobing it up (I've had very little luck with this latter situation). Many people are all doing it right now mainly because they're afraid they're going to be left in the dust when everyone who does this content is 20 and not doing the lower level stuff you can contribute in. People in the future who haven't even joined the game yet are going to be screwed because everyone else isn't going to want to babysit some level 1 and they're gonna HAVE to solo grind it or party grind it with whatever other lowbies they can scrounge up. I Know if it gets any sort of meaningful addition later I'd be glad to go out with some friends and try and boost some fresh 70's who are on their relic but as has been evidenced by the MSQ debacle, it's not a common thing to waste your own time for the benefit of new people without a substantial reward for doing so.Im saying the grind isn't as bad as people are making it out to be just spending even 1-2 hours getting a lvl a day you will eventually hit 20. Summary of my points:
I don't like the content. It's repetitive (moreso than even dungeon grinds) and has added "features" I am actually AGAINST such as XP loss and griefing. I'm only playing because I'm afraid I'll be locked out of it or locked behind an insane grind once the wave ends and currently the rewards are desirable enough that I'll put up with it.
Currently it's not looking good for any future player who tries to get into it later.
"Both points could be addressed by future patches", So very true and I hope they are. I'd love to be as excited about doing eureka as I am about watching more story or trying new encounters but right now it's toeing that line of being "work".
WHERE IS THIS KETTLE EVERYONE KEEPS INTRODUCING ME TO?
It's why they don't like it that bothers some people.
Some players are just not going to like the sort of environment Eureka offers because that isn't their thing, fine. We're all different. You can't please everyone.
But loads of people went in, got a few levels at most, left and spammed the forums with how Eureka is awful. Loads of these people complained that fates didn't spawn, clearly having no clue that they all need certain conditions to spawn. Others complained that mobs were too strong, again being unaware that while the content is possible to do solo it's really intended for groups.
However some came back to the forums again and said stuff like "actually it's not as bad as I thought, I didn't know about <thing> and I like <other thing>" and I commend them for taking back some of what they said.
My point is so many were far too quick to judge. The knowledge about Eureka is now obviously designed to be player driven. The community figures it out. Some of us got too used to the quest utility putting orange circles on our maps handholding all our decision making.
This is unfamiliar waters for anyone who didn't play old school mmos. I get it. But it's still pretty silly to basically poke your head in, gain two levels and decide it's all crap. If I did that with XIV when I started I wouldn't be playing anymore. I found many things about the game downright awkward at first because I wasn't used to it and didn't know so many things...you know...kind of like how many feel about Eureka when they start.
