It's pretty bad so far in that in order to have what feels like a decent rate of progression (yes this is very subjective, I'm sure someone somewhere is fine with solo leveling rates) you HAVE to be in the NM train. In order to make a dent in many of those NM's you HAVE to be in a party. In order to be in a party you need to be in the level range of that party or find some higher levels who don't mind you noobing it up (I've had very little luck with this latter situation). Many people are all doing it right now mainly because they're afraid they're going to be left in the dust when everyone who does this content is 20 and not doing the lower level stuff you can contribute in. People in the future who haven't even joined the game yet are going to be screwed because everyone else isn't going to want to babysit some level 1 and they're gonna HAVE to solo grind it or party grind it with whatever other lowbies they can scrounge up. I Know if it gets any sort of meaningful addition later I'd be glad to go out with some friends and try and boost some fresh 70's who are on their relic but as has been evidenced by the MSQ debacle, it's not a common thing to waste your own time for the benefit of new people without a substantial reward for doing so.
Summary of my points:
I don't like the content. It's repetitive (moreso than even dungeon grinds) and has added "features" I am actually AGAINST such as XP loss and griefing. I'm only playing because I'm afraid I'll be locked out of it or locked behind an insane grind once the wave ends and currently the rewards are desirable enough that I'll put up with it.
Currently it's not looking good for any future player who tries to get into it later.
"Both points could be addressed by future patches", So very true and I hope they are. I'd love to be as excited about doing eureka as I am about watching more story or trying new encounters but right now it's toeing that line of being "work".
