    Everything you said is spot on to how I'm starting to feel about Eureka!!! I actually started to have fun doing it as heals, I feel IMPORTANT. I start rezzing a ton of randoms and they would thank me, I ran out of MP rezzing and healing people and barely had time to dps. I died a TON of times lol. It was pretty cool tbh and I look forward to doing more.

    We partied with random players all of the time in FF11.
    Under such system, the overall skill of player base is increased because no one want to die and de-lvl.

    They all want to do the fight correctly so there is no death and no wipe.
    People will come to a content fully prepared and stack with consumables that help the fight (ease a lot of healer's burdens)
    It is not until WoW's dungeon system and LFG system becomes popular that player base skill is doing a downward slope.

    FF11's dps meta is always being output maximum dps with minimum damage taken.
    Any reckless actions caused the death will impact your player reputation and lesser chance of getting party invite.
    Players are forced to be better, but yes, this system wont work in today's mmorpg

    ps. It always sad to see a bad or rude player whisper everyone for a party invite because he destroyed his won player reputation.

    It doesn't even have to be Titan Hard-levels of hard. I just feel like they could do better, make it more thoughtful and engaging than simply run around and kill stuff. Believe it or not, I think very highly of Yoshi-P. What he did with 1.0-2.0, how he did it, and the time he did it in is the stuff of video game developer legends. However, it saddens me that when it comes to Eureka, all he could come up with is a direct throwback something countless MMOs have not only done already, but done better.

    Again, maybe I am crazy for expecting more at this point. It's my own fault.

    Only question, since you weren't DPSing that much, was the EXP worth it doing majority healing and ressing? I found massive variations in EXP as a RDM during AoE needing pulls. Even single target kills were varying(this was a party of 8).

    Being an FFXI player and seeing how PotD is basically a tuned down Nyzul Isle, I can deal with Eureka being a tuned down Abyssea for now...especially considering the first part of Abyssea was a tuned down version of Abyssea, and Eureka still have lots of room to improve.
    After all, after Gordias and its really shallow boss fights, we had something amazing like Brute Justice

    I was in a party of 3 amidst a bunch of other groups doing NM spawns so our party wasn't ever getting tag credit. I'm not sure how the exp affects the normal mobs, but I got gold every time for NMs. Hope that helps.

    I'll say this since I've been playing more. Zerging the FATE's as part of a huge train is a lot more "fun" (I use this loosely because it now reminds me of Yokai Watch event) than grinding just the same mob over and over again for xp. At least as part of the zerg you're getting lots of crystals and boxes plus decent xp and its relatively safe as part of a large group.

    And how will you do a savage/dungeon/trial fight without wiping first to it? I mean you said you want it in all content (other than PVP). Do you plan on somehow beating Bahamut Ulimate first try? Or are you still just talking about overworld content (which is only a small part of the game). Also dont forget that most of the content in this game is solo play. What happens in story instanced fights that people dont manage and delevel? Jobquests?

    You seemingly want perfect play from everyone, in a game where you have icemages and people like that.

    Normaly I dont say this but this is not FF11! This is a completey different game, with a different battle system and content. What may function in 11 might not function in 14.

    The problem is that you barely get any exp and crystal with just fighting the trash mobs. And if they did not plan on people to spawn them that often, they could have simply increased the spawn timer and made other options to spawn them. Instead most of the known ones just need to have 100 monster kills and some have a certain weather.
