What's your first impression of Eureka?

It's quite pleasing to see how the community's reaction evolving in such a short amount of time.
Now that people are really starting to figure out what's going on and how to play effectively, the "awful grind" has become more acceptable.

It's a bit like seeing a bunch of newbies complaining that killing ladybugs and squirrels just outside town is super long and boring, and then realizing that doing the Fate nearby is actually the intended way of doing things.

So a few people changed their minds a bit and suddenly the community reaction is changing? When over 50% of the forum posters suddenly find it great (and not just barely acceptable) than maybe we can talk about it this way. But a few handful people enjoying it a bit more is not a great change.

Well the only thing that 9h of eureka did to me is install tree of savior and stop my FF subscription cause there is nothing to do,but eh,people like it now LEL

i think the dev forgot to do something for eureka,theyr created eureka,and thats it,forgot to do something with it

Kinda reminds me of WoW's Cataclysm expansion, funnily enough. "Let's redo the old zones and questing experience, then let's make some new expansion zones with some quests. Then at max level we-....wait a minute, we forgot endgame things. Oh well...SHIP IT!"

thats exactly the feeling,its they trew eureka still in development...after 17month.....cpying a lot from diadem and FFXI....what the hell did they for those 17 month ?
Sometimes,i wonder if the dev are not buying lot of alcohol and girl/boy compagny with FF money.

For clarification, what are you all using to get into parties? Friends? /Shout? PF before and then enter? Make your own in-instance?

First I try to gather friends, and then fill up with a PF and/or people inside Eureka.

No, relic weapon has always been on par with the highest common and later before new raid comes out, on par on the current weapon. This one came out subpar below crafted, So you have crafted, trial, and time limited tomestone better then it (when it should be the same as the time limited tomestone on release)the final stages for everything should been i360, it was flat out released outdated

If they do what you said, it will continue to be empty. I have no reason to waste my time on such things, again kettle black you are just here to ague for memes. It will be diadem 3.0 once the new factor wears off.

You could release new things to kill stuff without a 6 month delay, it was very poorly made, this is no content. It is illusion content. Some people do not have time to play 24/7 for level 13 atm

Still, when new raid content pops up, the Primal Extreme weapon is better than Relic. And when the next Relic step pops up, the Raid weapon is still better than the Relic (Weapon Damage is still better than substats, unless you're a Bard/Machinist) so yeah, it was never "useful".
It was meant for people who didn't do raid content and wanted a good weapon "for free".

Relic is useful at the last expansion patch, where it paired on ilvl with the last raid weapon, and since Relic is custom, it was the best option.

Right now people can have the ilv360 weapon if they did Sigmascape normal 7 weeks, and raiders has at least the ilv370 weapon from normal raiding, so what's the point? What if Relic was ilv365? It would be irrelevant still.


For me, relic was just a glamour. I did all my relic steps anyways, but I didn't really need to. And right now I'm farming for the new relic/AF upgrade just for the glamour.

Maybe the problem is that you don't like the game? What do you expect from an MMORPG, or what did you want Eureka to be?

Ok if its so fun, why dont you go back to your beloved Eureka and let people still give their feedback and critics?

Already telling someone "maybe the problem is that you dont like the game" or "maybe this isnt the right mmo for you" pisses me off. If it wouldnt be anyone's game, we wouldnt be here to give ideas and feedback about SE's current content.

I'm not censoring anybody, I'm giving my opinion, too.

I answered that because these arguments could apply into ANYTHING this game provides.

Let's take the popular answer when asked about Eureka, "It's just all about grinding to get a reward", and now let's make some questions about other FFXIV's content:

What do you think about Expert dungeons? - "It's just all about grinding to get a reward"
What do you think about Raid content? - "It's just all about grinding to get a reward"
What do you think about Gold Saucer? - "It's just all about grinding to get a reward"
What do you think about 24-man raids? - "It's just all about grinding to get a reward"
And last, what do you think about all old relic steps from 2.0 and 3.0? - "It's just all about grinding to get a reward"


That's why my answer "maybe you just don't like FFXIV, then" applies.

Anemos relic is i355 with 5 guaranteed grade VI materia slots. On par with i360 tome weapons.
