Do you have a source for this? Do you know for sure that there is absolutely no other way for SE to deal with this at all? That they can't redesign it to at least pioritise party members?

Yeah, it's annoying as hell. They need to prioritize working on the netcode for this if they're going to keep making large scale fights with lots of people, because it flat out doesn't work properly.

Just going by previous precedents set by hunts (and in FFXI too with Besieged). When there's too many people in one spot, shit starts breaking.Do you have a source for this? You really don't have to worry though, because like I said, the crowds will probably start dissipating on their own soon enough.

Wonder if it's cause from the engine there using where just can't handle that many players in one area at same time. If the engine is the problem they need get better one that can handle a large group of players in same area. Other day when doing hunts hunt vanished 3 times on me then would appear next to me after just got hit by its aoe attack that couldn't even see. In Eureka during a fate there saw half players there with disconnect sign above there name and event one in my party disconnected and when was able to log back in it was over and didn't no credit for it. They need to fix this asap.

We're long past the point of XI, long long past it. That game is ancient in the mmo world. I don't think we should expect a far newer game like XIV to have similar limitations to a game more than a decade old.

This is something no one should have to put up with. This is right along the line of "needs to work in order for the game to be functional." It's a disgrace just as much as the Xbox One version of Monster Hunter World having its online broken.
The realities of network speeds and system limitations don't just magically disappear because we're playing a different game now. We're long past the point of XI, long long past it. Not to the point where there are no limitations, lag, or mishaps, no. If that's what you're waiting for, strap yourself in; you're going to be waiting a while.

Please direct me to where I said I want no limitations, lag or mishaps. You'll find I never said it at all.
I want the game to stop phasing out priority targets. I did not ask for perfection.
I am merely pointing how silly it is to pretty much say that server, instance and network limitations haven't advanced in a decade.
