    Eureka : If I can't see it, it shouldn't hit me...

    Sorry if this has been brought up a thousand and one times, and yes this is ANOTHER complaint thread, but one I really feel needs addressing.

    Why have these developers still not learned priority rendering in large scale non instanced fights?

    Mobs should not disappear.
    Ground based aoes should not fail to display.
    Mechanics such as the void cracks should not fail to display like mobs when they are an essential mechanic of the fight.
    Healers should not be unable to heal/res their own group because the game/devs decided that party members aren't priority.

    This stuff still happens. You sorta fixed it for S ranks, where they can be seen anywhere on the map. Why is this not also a thing for fate bosses, fate mechanics, or party members? Ixion is another good example, and one I don't think was fixed yet either. Why do the players have the suffer the burden of multiple deaths (with XP loss now mind you) for something the development team can't get right?

    If I can't see it, and the client omits it due to programed rules for rendering, then I shouldn't be hit for it, and I shouldn't lose xp for it.

    It's a frequent experience for me in heavy population FATE or hunt events. Odin, S ranks at 4.0 launch, etc. It should have been fixed years ago.

    I don't understand how it's so hard to change the culling code to prioritize the monster and your party. That's all they have to do. Why does it matter if you see 50 other randos?

    Anyway, being hit by shit that hasn't even loaded on your screen due to massive swarms of PCs/mobs has been a thing since FFXI's Besieged. Tough, but you gotta deal. There's no magical fix for this aside from putting stricter limitations on how many PCs can be in the zone (and I *still* see hunt mobs occasionally not loading even today if enough people are there).

    That's the FFXI experience.

    Where mobs you aggroed can hit you from half a zone away with their autoattacks.

    It's sad to wait for the NM to load, sad to "hit it" until finally appears in the Target list, and sad to have it at 20% in your screen when it's already dead for the rest. I'm really liking Eureka and the grind to kill time, but I'd love if they can fix this problem and also make more instances with less people on them. Seriously 144 people killing a single NM... not all of us have a great system to play.

    I really don't mind the grind, I find it fun, but would be funnier if they address these things.

    We should not have to deal with this.

    It's ludicrous that something you can't even target, because it's phased out, can still hit you. That is extremely unfair on players. And speaking as a healer it is incredibly frustrating that I can't heal or res my own party members.

    There is enough rng in this game without mob and player phasing rng on top of it killing you when you did nothing wrong. If anything feels unrewarding about Eureka, it's this.

    Whether we "should" have to deal with it or not is irrelevant. It is what it is, limitations of the system. If they had a magical fix for this, hunts wouldn't still occasionally be borked.

    Like I said, nothing can really be done about it without them reducing the total number of PCs that can be present.

    Alternatively (and honestly more likely), people will just get fed up and stop participating, which will conveniently also serve to reduce congestion.
