People call for Ghostcrawler resignation all of the time back in WoW.
Yet they still contact him and get his opinion about WoW when he quit Blizzard.
Are you really even going to take these people serious?
Diadem 3.0 is incredibly bad, but that's exactly what I expected. Nothing SE has added since HW has been worth losing some expert dungeons.

What's your first impression of Eureka?
Not good.

Thank you! I was afraid of that, so I guess my next question would be: do I have to be on the class I'm currently 'grinding for' to get the items? I.e. is my elemental level tied to class or character? I'm main healer for my group, but I don't want to work on my AST stuff. Can I grind the content on AST but use the proteans to progress my RDM gear? (I'm assuming so, but with this kind of content I don't want to make assumptions.)
after ~11hrs? i suppose, playing since server up I've reached lvl 7 (47k xp to lvl 8).
- only saw 3 NMs spawn, all cactus ones, no lvl 5?s
- ended grind with 94 crystal + 7 anemos ones
- lockbox mostly fireworks, wat else is new - friend got a mount though
Reaffirmed my concern about level / xp / damage penalty.
As +5 is ideal, this tight restriction really segregates the playerbase in that now we are restricted to finding players either willing to fight +6 or cripple ourselves +4 if there are not enough at current level.
+6 means the dmg penalty comes into effect, although more xp. harder to chain as a result of slower kills / good chance of losing it if 2nd mob encroach.
+4 means u get 1/2 xp of +5, but dmg taken is not much lesser, so aoeing +3, +4 level mobs is still quite dangerous (lvl 8mob+).
+2-3 is complete trash xp, 12-30 base
Maybe players will eventually catch up to the masochists @ the front, but I mostly only see the opposite.. harder n harder to find party. Ended up sit in PF 45min for our L6 party to fill.
For heals, it's not so much a problem +6, but dps & tank penalized the most.
I think it is too early to judge on token rates - I think SE may have balanced them around total time, eg by 20 we may have enough for almost a full set at which point we might be grinding with accelerated rates. But from player PoV, the carrot is too far away.. something like that.
Really just feels like a questless CN/KR grinder mmo..
n I have mixed feeling about that.
The playstyle is enjoyable, but just why restrict it so thoroughly that finding/grouping with people becomes so much more of a chore than it oughta be zz.
and the restrictions don't even prevent ACTUAL powerleveling by higher levels feeding lowbies, only prevents lowbies from contributing.

I don't understand how you and the other defenders of this excrement haven't figured it out after 35 pages. Most people expected a grind. Anyone even vaguely familiar with the previous steps expected a grind. While there are some people complaining about the estimated time to complete, most people are mad at what the actual task is and not the time it takes to complete it.
To reiterate, Eureka could have been literally any other kind of content and I would not be as mad about it as I am. If the time to complete was the same but I had to spend it grinding fates for atmas instead of just camping monsters, I would still think it sucks, but it would suck in a way I find acceptable. I would grumble in chat channels about how tedious it was, but I would do it. I would not be here shitposting about this DoA content.

Your elementals and level are tied to character, not job. Same goes for shopping. You can grind it out on AST and then buy the RDM stuff.Thank you! I honestly think a patch is coming to upgrade the gear in there as I think the 350 gear was meant for the begining. Remember this was delayed. I also think this is fun content to do, I've been having fun doing it with little to no complaints. I mean ALL you do in this game is kill stuff anyway so whats the difference? It's not like we were getting a new game, just a new area to go and kill more stuff. I expected nothing more than that and that's what I got and the tiny new mechs in there are decently fun atm so I have no issues with it. It's something to do when I don't want to do dungeons so A plus from me. Yes I said that, but I kept my expectations not low.. but realistic. When all you do is kill stuff, I expect nothing but to kill stuff. that and a grind.. long as the combat is fun then it's working planned.

Still not as much salt is the housing thread!
