You need to build a chain to gain crystals, they start dropping often between #20 and #30.Would have liked if it was more solo friendly. I'm all for it being party efficient but I basically can't earn any protean crystals when alone (excluding the fact it takes nearly 80-90 seconds for me to kill anything), all for like 55 exp from a level 3 mob AND you need 5060 for 3-4.
Relic stuff is known for being grindy but is this too much, even comparing atmas?
When ppl will realize that open world content will ALWAYS become a zrgefest Unless you deliberately lock it with either group tap or something like the debuffs from old wow world bosses?
Let's talk about some overwelming bad design.
It gives you the opportunity to lvl job gear to higher ilvl (335 and 350 for what i've seen), yet, ilvl is SYNCH in eureka at 300, so basically useless for it.
The 350 upgrade WOULD be usable in actual raid content, but you will mostly have to farm mob brainless and pray RNJesus to have less than 100h+ off doing so. Which, by the time you finally get ONE piece while not going insane in the process, 4.3 will be out and the gear will be, once again useless.
Not to mention the insanly long lvling process, the fact that you can actively loose your lvl after a point when you die, I don't think people are going to stick around that "masterpiece of content" more than, say 2 weeks top.
For me, it was the update of the last chance, I'm unsubbing next monday after letting my static know they have to find another ninja. It's sad, but I think SE has to change something here, I'm probably not the only one to go away after today ^^
I like it as well now i have something to do with my FC. I don't mind the grind it's a relic i wasn't expecting to get it right away.
"As if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happned."
Its just soo disappointing and it was delayed?? did they need more time to think of names for mobs we've seen again and again, you kill mobs over and over thats the whole song and dance. Lets take the super unappealing aspect of atma farming and toss it in diadem and call it new....i like ffxiv i really do but come onnnnn THIS
PS3 Limitations are out, Server Limitations are the new Hotness
We waited months for this boring content?
This was delayed for? Reasons?
We're grinding for gear that is irrelevant. . . again.
Nothing like feeling like you're level one. . . again.
Artificially inflating difficulty by an ilvl 300 sync. Terrible exp gain.
So many bad decisions.

A) the eureka gear is designed for outside eureka, not inside. It is a reward for doing the content, not an aid for within the content.Let's talk about some overwelming bad design.

B) We dont know what drop rates are like at higher levels and from better mobs, and the strategy might change at higher levels.
C) People need to stop presuming they know the entirety of the content from spending 5mins inside. Its fine if you don't like it, but don't presume to know the impact that it has on the rewards or the rest of the game from such limited experience.
2hrs in and I already dislike it.
