I would have to say NO to this one because it will kill the uniqueness of the beautiful NPCs. Moreover, I don't want a bunch of clones of NPCs running around; there can only be one.

[super inactive on this Forum LOL]
Then you have a bunch of people trying to take each others heads and that's just not cool...Sorry couldn't resist.
This game has so many faces to choose from, hairstyles, colors, etc, why on earth would you ever need more options especially faces? I mean cmon now..
Because most people's characters, look like clones of eachother. Adding NPC faces as optional on Mogstation would at least kill the popular flavor of the day favorite facial clones among the current four options we have for each race. At least a little bit so we'd stop seeing it as much and actually have something new to look at. XD

So instead of everyone looking like each other, everyone can instead look like... each other AND major story characters?Because most people's characters, look like clones of eachother. Adding NPC faces as optional on Mogstation would at least kill the popular flavor of the day favorite facial clones among the current four options we have for each race. At least a little bit so we'd stop seeing it as much and actually have something new to look at. XD
I don’t see how that’s really going to help variety much, if that’s the basis of your argument. It just guarantees that some player-characters are going to be exact clones of other characters. At least the character-creator faces might have *some* non-matching elements...

We have lots of hairstyles and things like that but we really lack faces, especially the Au Ra. I mean if you want a certain horn style you will have one face for that. Sometimes when I look through the forums I see quite some twins to my character because of the face. So yes more options there would be nice. (And ingame and not with mog station please..)
Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.

I do agree we should get more options for character customization beyond just a few new hairstyles here n there.Because most people's characters, look like clones of eachother. Oh alright. I agree with you NPCs should stay unique but it would not hurt to get at least some parts of their faces or at least something simliar. Only parts and not the whole face. In the end I want just a way deeper character customisation in the next expansion. I would want that even more than a new race.

Adding "parts of" specific NPC characters faces would come back to the same issues we already have - that there are never any new additions to the face elements, whether that's a hardwired inability to add more options or just something they don't want to do.Oh alright. If they did add more face elements, I think it would be more likely that we'd get additional 'generic' ones than character-specific ones.
