Does Fight or Flight increase Goring Blade's dot damage?

Or just the base potency of the weapon skill it self? I never really thought to ask this before but it's something I should really know.

    Yes.

I don't know optimal FoF/ Req windows, but I generally start a fight with Fast -> Savage -> FoF + Goring, two RA combos, then finish off with Goring into Reqqycat, all of which should still be under FoF's window.

Absolutely it does, in fact after several tests trying both unbuffed goring into req/holy spirit and FoF buffed goring openers, i concluded that doing FoF goring opener is more dps than unbuffed boring -> req/holy spirit every single time by as much as 100-150 dps over a 3 minute test.

The moment you have FoF active and you apply the dot, it will remain buffed till it end even if the FoF duration will end.
If you apply it on the last second of FoF duration it will remain buffed till the end or till you refresh it.
However activating FoF after applying the dot will not buff it at all.

This is exactly how I always thought it worked. So my opener was typically starting FoF into Goring Blade (if not using Halone for aggro as MT in a pug setting), then a Royal combo, then following it with another Goring with FoF remaining at about 5s left after that. I usually use Req Holy Spirit at that point, but I never knew if that was optimal or not. Should I do another Royal combo during the last 5s of FoF instead? I don't believe Royal would be under FoF but Fast Blade and Riot Blade would.

I believe you're missing something somewhere.. Not sure

You want to use FoF right before your first GB. Then RA>RA>GB>Req - and FoF should fall off right as you Req so it buffs the initial hit.

Might be a skillspeed thing. I usually have about 3-4 seconds left on FoF, but to me that's not worth delaying Reqqy cat, or missing the window for Reqqy to benefit from it.

Great advice, thanks! I think I remember doing that back in HW, but for some reason I got into a different mindset in SB.

I hate that HS casting part : doesn't make you feel like you're tanking, have to stay still like a BLM...
Swords and shields are meant to cut and break bones : not to make some sparkle works...
