    Nope, dated gear is not dyed the same way. Besides, the recipes for making dated gear will be removed, hence dated gear.

    Heh, wasn't really implying they'd be removed before then. Maybe I should have worded it differently.

    Eventually, dated gear recipes will be removed. All updates that we're getting, as far as crafting goes, only applies to new gear.
