What is this new anti dps healer attitude?

Had a healer in S4n yesterday do nothing but Stone 4. I wasn't queued as a healer for it but I saw dps drop to 20 percent while mr dps keeps doing what they are doing. The dps died and sadly the other healer had to raise them or the red mage because mr cool couldn't be bothered to do their primary role.

Mmm .I have seen a strange change in healer attitudes. before Stormblood I rarely have my HP drop less than 30-40% usually, now I'm finding healers that are risking much more and they're letting my HP drop less than 20-10%, sometimes they even let me die. When I check it, I've seen them casting Malefic, Stone IV or Broil when my HP is 5%. I think they ar risking much more now they don't have cleric stance, and some people can be annoyed. I get annoyed when I die and I see the healer casting DPS spells.

This is a little off topic, but I would like to know why so many ranged dps stand out in BFE. Try to buff or Aoe heal a dungeon group and got one ranged dps standing far away from the group so much to the point that not even puttting myself between them and the group allows my aoe heals or buffs to reach them.

Obviously it’s just anecdotal but I’ve been coming more and more healers who do nothing but spam Stone/Broil/Malefic until they’re out of MP and flat out refuse to heal anyone. I even decided to try going into Sigmascape as a healer and doing the same myself.
I ended up having to use healer limit break because the other healer and several dps ended up dying from sheer lack of heals.
It’s hard to see why people wouldn’t be antagonistic towards ’dps healers’ (and still think it’s a ridiculous concept that makes the role redundant and needs to be seriously looked at by developers) when they keep coming across healers like this

Am I the only person who doesnt think it’s the end of to world to use a single-target GCD heal on a dps? I kinda thought that was the point of the role...healing...is it really that much of an issue that you can’t do all your do healing with a single spell?

And I thought dps were supposed to do damage, not die because they want to be as far away from the healer as possible. :^)

It seems fishy to me that someone would, out of nowhere, dig up an old thread and post several responses to earlier posts while ignoring current ones. But then again, some of the ridiculous things people say in these healer threads can be pretty funny so I won't complain about it.

I am an old school from FF11 and I do not like healer to dps as I believed healer should reserve mp for emergency. There is no death penalty of of current mmorpg all thanks to WoW. When Eureka is here and there is death penalty of losing exp and de-lvl, I will lay back and laugh at those who believed healer should dps.

Relics are meant to be more casual content. There will be little to no risk of death and even if there is it most likely won't be remotely threatening to those who are comfortable with dpsing as healers. It also will most likely be nerfed if it does pose any amount of challenge.

It is when said dps does not move in closer most of the time. Its easier to be closer and let me save my mana rather then waste extra mana on someone who wants to be as far away as possible. I only Aoe heal when needed and no other time so being in range when such healing is needed is not difficult.
