...use your taunt mechanic(s)...

I feel the need to point this out (maybe you already know this, and maybe you don't, but I really don't want more new players thinking "use provoke on CD"): Taunts here do absolutely nothing if you're already top threat. They're only useful if you need to tank-swap, or if a DPS rips hate from you - and even then you always need to follow up with a threat ability (so provoke/ultimatum and use at least part 2 of your main threat combo, your "pull" ability, or your aoe threat move). Unlike in other MMOs, these abilities only set your current threat level to the previous top threat level + 1 point.

3 Lalas and me, a lizalfos. I was bard, we had an Ast who had incredible luckw ith balances.

I was making fun of how i'm the black sheep int his Lala party , or fun and giggles. Was pretty good atmosphere, at least it hought so.

Until the AST started asking who wants the balances, I answered with "i would like them then" if i get asked, i say so, why not. In addition with an "OwO" a bit later for giggles because the greed for balances is strong. I got a heart from the ast.
But then i got called cancer and horrendous and whatnot by the tank(a drk) and he demanded all balances afterwards and got them for the rest of the run.

Would not have suprised me if that AST had queued together with his DRK friend. Premades tend to have the disposition to support the terrible behavior of their co-queuer.

And now for my own story...another good one: Alliance Roulette, Syrcus Tower. Got a group with 2 new players in the alliance. Mechanics were dealt with (or mostly ignored) as needed, and it was one of the fastest clears of ST I've ever had the pleasure of being a part of. How fast? Well, the primary example is this: While I don't recall ever having seen Amon not get his Curtain Call ability off, this is the closest I've ever seen a raid come to beating it out - we missed by about 1 second. Honestly wish that all of my alliance roulettes would go this well.

Me and a friend decided to run Royal City earlier and we get in. Our alliance is pure melee and all of them were.... well... bad. They would always stack on the main tank, spent 90% of the first 2 bosses kissing the dirt because face tanking raid bosses never ends well for DPS. And after the 3rd wipe on Hashmal I just got fed up and left. Between DPS never avoiding damage and a co-healer who avoided doing much of anything, and random raid members leaving mid fight so we had 7 people locked out because they backfilled I was over it.

What's sad was the MNK who had made it a personal challenge to die 10 seconds after being rezzed told the whole raid "you guys need to get good". All I thought after hearing this was "huh.... that's ironic coming from you." I even LB3'd the raid so we could maybe recover and they all died nearly instantly to avoidable mechanics.

Oooh... then that must be new then because i have NEVER seen it before and i was in that dungeon like 100 times (as brd and whm and it only got asked this time(two brds)) i still kinda think its not worth because of how fast these things usually die... but oooh... good to know! Then i can greed that ranged LB

Well, i don't know if i was top because no act and stuff but i'm sure i'm doing a liiiitle bit more damage than a drk because i do try to not just hit buttons. I'm not the best, but we got asked because that AST really was INCREDIBLY lucky with balances. And nobody else did, so i didn't just want to silence them to death. Not about that silence

Maybe it was premade, i don't know but i wouldn't do that. I try giving cards to other dps even if i'm running with a friend. If they seem most worth for the class, i give it to them.


Also like i said, i think it was funny. I know people are ruining the usage of smileys/emotes but for me personally, it can ease up situations. Like if i see that something could be seen the wrong way for others that don't know how you usually write, you can just throw out a smiley to make sure people get that it was just fun. Especially inn on serious situations.There is nothing really toxic about any emote or anything, people just try to make them so and thats kinda sad because its still funny to me. And thats all there is to it

We get to T9 and no one does the meteors right, but we heal through it. Some still die though...

One dps goes "We need healing for that part though." and I just wanted to scream "OR YOU COULD DO THE METEORS CORRECTLY."

This is why I have actively not tried to finish Coils. I'd like to be able to do them right, but I have no idea if people even bother or how much it matters anymore.

Doing Sigma Normal for weekly things...

I got tired of healing, so I decided to roll BRD. V3N pops. And the two healers in the group we had would not raise anyone unless they had Swiftcast. This SMN died and they would not raise him unless they had Swiftcast. I felt so bad for them. Like why would you just let someone lay there for a full minute dead without even trying to hardcast-Raise them? Instead they either just stood there or were casting Stone IV/Malefic III. I’m all for healers DPSing, but when you outright neglect your job as a healer...

That poor SMN.

The Healer in me is crying because i try to hardraise people every time i have the CHANCE of getting a hard raise off and i don't need to heal the tank or need to dodge mechanics..
