Until the AST started asking who wants the balances, I answered with "i would like them then" if i get asked, i say so, why not. In addition with an "OwO" a bit later for giggles because the greed for balances is strong. I got a heart from the ast.
But then i got called cancer and horrendous and whatnot by the tank(a drk) and he demanded all balances afterwards and got them for the rest of the run.

I don't even... that makes no sense at all. That DRK sounds like a real winner.

Was in the DF for Sigmascape 2 (Normal) last night.

One of the tanks could not figure out the painting situation, so we wipe and explain it to him (showed him how to use the duty action, where to go, what each painting scenario is, etc). When Chandarook paints the earth picture the tank in question doesnt get in the airplane, no... he gets on Typhon. At first it was funny, but he then kept complaining that he couldnt dismount. Were trying to explain to him how to dismount, and he keeps saying he cant. Then, ofcourse, we get to the point where you have to blow the easterlies and he cant figure out how to use the blowing mechanic... we wipe.

Go in again, but this time I put a marker over my head and told him to just follow me... still couldnt pull that off, he ends up dying as hes walking over to the Typhon painting during the earhquake... good stuff

50/60 roulette - I'm on SAM. We get Tam tara HM.

I get a PLD, who literally does NOTHING but spam shield lob. Someone says to him, "Shield lob isn't really an effective skill for close range fighting" to which the PLD ignores and keeps on keeping on. Mind you, people have aggro on any multitude of mobs because he's just shield lobbing over and over.

Eventually I say something, "Hey X, why are you so obsessed with Shield Lob?" He responds with "because it does good damage". To which, I note: "No it doesn't, you're much better off utilizing Fast Blade -> Savage Blade -> Rage of Halone" to which he again ignores.

I finally decide right before last boss I had enough. I say to the part, I'm almost 100% ok with kicking this tank and 3 manning it." To which the party agrees and the PLD goes on to say "ah the old boss kick move", and we're like uh, dude you're the one trolling. He has a crafters moderately low level, but his highest is the PLD at 51. He was NOT a sprout.

I wanted to friend request to actually try and coach them, but he either blacklisted me or logged out immediately.

For the first time since it was current content, Weeping City lived up to it's reputation.

Second boss, wipe once due to a good 75%+ no standing in green puddles for Mega Death. Almost recovered...then Hell Wind happened(I had taken over tanking as WAR - the class I'm the worst at! - since the original MT had died). Survived for a little bit while healers tried to recover us, but one of our BLM decided they would use LB3 instead of waiting for a healer to be revived(said BLM left promptly after the wipe). Second pull, 20% of people die to Mega Death, but we recover and kill.

Ozma, sweet sweet Ozma. Two wipes here. All because "meteors go BACK and LEFT. That's BACK AND LEFT!" is a hard instruction to follow. Though, I did accidentally walk off the edge(was standing on my usual spot - barely on the platform, attacking, in such a way that when he turns to the pyramid I don't get hit). Once we cleared(and replaced about 3/4 of the DPS it seemed like) we didn't have any issues(shocking, I know!) with the final boss.

Hey, we almost wiped in Wiping city today, too! Just almost.. because a freind was tanking and another friend was healing with me, so our alliance was... mostly the only one not completely dead! What a coincidence... lol

I also didn't know that Mch/brd LB is used ont he sword in the zenos fight... is that worth it? Because they get destroyed super fast every time i was in that dungeon and never came close to failing. Might just be blind or something.

Bards/MCH typically do use LB during sword phase because it's the only LB capable of hitting two at once. You'll have to carefully position yourself behind one sword and target the second sword in a straight line. It's best done -after- Zenos' first attack during that phase, or else the LB animation lock may result in you getting pushed into the damage field/getting hit multiple times by the dark waves if positioning yourself behind the Wind sword. Ranged LB2 does about 50-60% of each sword's HP, and it's the only realistic way to DPS the swords down fast enough to skip Zenos' second attack during that phase. It's not necessary, but it's nice anyway.

Assuming you use the LB before any of the swords are destroyed, killing all three swords recharges one full LB bar anyway. By the time Zenos returns after sword phase, he's already almost dead, so that one LB bar is enough to essentially end the fight.

keep getting lvl 70 tanks with non sprouts that feel the absolute need to mark the mobs in any leveling dungeon. it doesn't make it faster at all, not to mention it makes the tank seem lazy... its even worse when i get another dps (been lvlin monk, not very good at it) that has aoes and this marker on the mobs makes them stop aoeing because now they're afraid it'll tick the tank off...


edit : also i have gotten to the point where if i get someone who aoe's i remove the markers so they actually aoe and dont stop doing it just because the tank can only focus one mob.

Because the AST would give Balances to the DRK? If you were top DPS in the fight, then you deserve the balances.
The irony of him calling you “toxic” when he’s the one spewing crap like that. LOL.

Not a bad story this time! I never got to do Alexander when it was relevant (I didn't start playing till the very end of Heavensward's run), and DF queues are insane nowadays. No one seems to run them anymore, except for WT. I managed to find a group in PF who went through all 12 floors with me in one sitting. It was unsynced, so not quite the same as experiencing it when it was new, but I'm glad I was able to do it! Thanks to everyone who was there, though I kind of wondered how Savage would've gone. ;u;
